It is also not. Because you (referring to the opponent's view) do not possess the two aspects of existing in the previous manifestation and existing in the subsequent manifestation. The first argument is established because that general (concept) does not completely abandon the previous manifestation as its basis. Therefore, the so-called one general (concept) existing in the previous and subsequent manifestations is indeed the cause of poverty. The third part is divided into two: refuting that there is no general (concept) between manifestations, and refuting that there is a general (concept) between manifestations. The first case is that the teacher of the Vaisheshika school, the Grain-Eater, believes that one general (concept) is immovable, indivisible, pervades all manifestations, and can be perceived. His disciple Beta believes that the argument "because it is not a basis" is not established, because even if there is no general (concept) in the interval where there is no manifestation, the general (concept) of the previous manifestation will follow into the subsequent manifestation. If this is the case, then there is no general (concept) in the subsequent manifestation. Furthermore, the general (concept) that abides in the previous manifestation does not move from its own position, which is the previous manifestation. If the general (concept) abides outside the position where the previous manifestation exists, in the position where the new manifestation arises, then it is very reasonable that there is a general (concept) in the subsequent manifestation, but this is impossible. If the general (concept) does not move from the previous manifestation, but pervades the subsequent manifestation, then in any place where the newly arisen manifestation of things abides, that general (concept) is neither related to nor pervades the basis of those later things, that is, the manifestation that exists there, this is the Dharma, how amazing, because it exceeds reason. The second case is that Beluka says, "because it is not a basis" this argument is not established, because if there are kinds in all places, then there is also a general (concept) in the newly arisen manifestation. If this is the case, then that general (concept) is the Dharma, and should be seen in all directions where manifestation exists and does not exist. In a certain direction where manifestation exists, manifestation makes you manifest, what is that? Because there is no difference in all directions. If the general (concept) exists in all directions, but is not seen in some places, because seeing the general (concept) depends on being manifested by manifestation, then seeing the general (concept) also does not depend on manifestation. If it depends on manifestation, then if one cannot understand the manifesting manifestation, then one cannot correctly understand the manifested general (concept). Because this has been admitted. If admitted, then why would the general (concept) and the subject of manifestation related to it reverse the way of understanding?
