In essence, they intend to explain the treatises that demonstrate the exclusion of others. Furthermore, as in the example of proving sound to be impermanent through repeated creation, there is also a subject in the case of a nature sign. If it does not exist, it will not arise, and this relationship is established. This is because the sign itself merely exists and has an inherent connection with the dharma to be proven. Therefore, the created, which exists as the nature of impermanence, is the subject. If impermanence does not exist, then you will not exist, because impermanence and nature are not different but are one. The second case is: then, whatever is created must be impermanent, because the two are not different in nature. If you accept this, then the created becomes a part of the pledge to prove that sound is impermanent, and is used as a sign? There are two answers to this question: explaining the exclusion of objects from the perspective of sound and concept; explaining the exclusion of non-objects from the perspective of sound. The first case has two aspects: establishing through the exclusion of the subject-possessor; the object itself is established as exclusion. The first case has three aspects: both sound and concept apply through exclusion; specifically explaining the way sound applies; showing that both apply to the general. The first case has two aspects: explaining separately; explaining jointly. The first case has two aspects: applying by excluding sound and concept that differentiate one thing; applying by excluding sound and concept that gather different things into one. The first case has three aspects: the sign and the subject are reasonable for the object of exclusion; explaining the proof that applies by excluding sound and concept; avoiding debate by examining affirmation and negation. The first case is that although the sign-dharma of the nature sign does not differ in nature, it will not become a part of the pledge as a sign, because the three aspects of sign, dharma, and meaning are different in their negations. If asked: How are they different? All self-characterized things, such as sound, are the subject. It depends on many negations that separate from itself and similar things, and from dissimilar things of different kinds. Because without fabrication, it naturally does not mix with others, but abides in its own essence. This reason shows that the many negations are also distinguished by the non-inverted wisdom of excluding others. And "all things" shows that all things can be distinguished by many negations, therefore, meaning and sound are the subject. Similar, that is, things that are not sound, and kinds that are not

Not making disagreement, retreating from the permanent dharma, with that reason, sound is the category of impermanent things made, able to distinguish many retreats, because it exists in the nature of sound. This shows that category and retreat have the same meaning. With the difference that sound can distinguish many retreats as the subject, from the sign of being made, one can understand that sound is impermanent, distinguishing this, because it shows that on just one sound, in terms of elimination, it can become the three: sign, dharma, and meaning, therefore, on one nature there can be many retreats, therefore, with the sign of being made, establishing that sound is impermanent, the three of sign, dharma, and meaning being established, the three of sound, being made, and impermanence, abide as retreats, the momentary difference on sound, by what name is understood as the dharma of impermanence, other than that, it cannot be understood by the name of being made, therefore, for the other two also, it should be applied in this way. Here, it prevents dwelling, mother, child, etc., considering them as other things arising after being made impermanent, and establishes them as one entity, if that were the case, the difference between sign and dharma would be unreasonable. As a response to this, what is said is the reasoning of eliminating other entities that can have many retreats, it is not establishing that being made and impermanence have the same essence, and that retreats are different, independent of each other. Some say that the meaning of one entity being related, the essence is the same, and the retreats are different, therefore the first verse establishes the same essence, from "because of what" onwards establishes different retreats, although this is good, it does not understand the intention of the scripture. The second has five: proceeding by eliminating sign and inference, proceeding by eliminating subsequent cognition, proceeding by eliminating, sound is another thing reasonable, proceeding by establishing, then it is unreasonable, refuting that proceeding by establishing is also reasonable. The first has three: establishing the proof of proceeding by eliminating, if proceeding by establishing, then it is too much, summarizing and showing the established meaning of both. The first has three: not proceeding because of seeing the self-character, proceeding for the sake of eliminating superimposition, showing the verse summarizing both. The first is: if proceeding by eliminating the inference relying on sound and sign, then what is its proof? Because it is for what has already been seen by direct perception, proceeding for the sake of eliminating superimposition, from "because what has already been seen by direct perception" it speaks of the self of things like sound.
