It is a definite understanding without error. Therefore, in this system, when sense consciousness grasps external objects, there are three stages of cause and effect: the cause that generates the appearance, the appearance generated by it, and the object of definite knowledge drawn by it. The first is the special atoms that come into contact with each other. The second is the coarse appearance that appears to the sense consciousness in its own time. The third is the exclusion of others, which is the appearance that appears as a single entity in subsequent conceptualizations and is falsely attributed to external objects. The first is the external object; the second is the nature of the sense consciousness itself, so it is not coarse; the third is what is falsely attributed as coarse. Although the generator of appearance is an atom, the reason why it appears as a coarse appearance to the sense consciousness is that the Vijnanavada says to the Sautrantika: By what do these atoms make such a coarse appearance? This is also the key to showing the contradiction in admitting it. Here, in the commentary on 'Delightful Ornament', although the view of holding the self-characteristic of matter other than atoms as a Buddhist tenet has not appeared, even if it is only explaining the tenets of the Seven Treatises, they have not paid attention to it. However, the scholars of the Land of Snows, who claim to be proficient in the Seven Treatises, although they have not discussed it, they agree and unanimously prohibit the name of the possessor of parts that is different from the parts. Although atoms cannot be grasped by sense consciousness and cannot obstruct, the coarse self-characteristic of matter created by them and different from them exists. It can obstruct and be grasped by sense consciousness. The weight of the ultimate atom of a part cannot be measured, but the true weight of the coarse matter created by it can be measured. Thus, they admit the form and weight of the parts, which are superior to what the Vaisheshikas admit. The venerable one said: I do not have such a burden of ignorance. The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the three times who have made me free from this burden are very kind to me. For this, the so-called wise men of today, please examine it a little. However, here it is very important not to confuse the coarse appearance with the coarse matter. This demonstration that the two signs are not established is the subject. Taking the two signs as the reason, the faults of not obstructing the body etc. are also eliminated. The body etc.

In order to illustrate that the aggregate arises from encountering other previous particles, resulting in a special ability to obscure and obstruct. Secondly, substances such as mixtures of mercury and gold, or qualities like hot and cold, are subjects of debate. How do they appear to the sense consciousness? They should not appear. Because they are not individual particles lacking parts. The collection of sense organs and mental attention, etc., that collection is the subject of debate. How do cognitions, such as sense consciousness, arise? They should not arise. Because they lack the ability to individually generate sense consciousness, and are no different from the previous sense organs, etc. Both reasons are accepted. If a combination arises from the collection of sense organs, etc., and sense consciousness arises from the combination, then, asserting that the collection of sense organs, etc., generates the combination, here too, the collection of sense organs, etc., is the subject of debate. It also should not be able to generate the combination. Because it is no different from the previous sense organs, etc., which cannot generate the combination, it is the same. If gold and mercury are mixed, even though there is no substance with parts, there is a combination of dissimilar types of particles meeting, so it appears, then, sense consciousness is the subject of debate. From where is the combination of mixed gold and mercury particles cognized? It should not be cognized. Because the basis of that combination, the gold and mercury particles themselves, are not visible. Furthermore, combination is a quality, and if it is asserted that a quality does not have a second quality, then, a drink mixed with sugar and alcohol is the subject of debate. It is contradictory for you to have a combination of taste, form, etc., because you are a quality. If it does not have real taste and form, but both it and real taste and form are compatible with the particles of the drink. Therefore, it has taste, etc., only nominally, and those names apply, then, the taste and form of a drink mixed with sugar and alcohol is the subject of debate. From real taste and form, the mind will transform into different aspects, but the mind of real taste and form will not transform, because taste and form are nominal. A rosary strung together like crows is the subject of debate. Even if the name "long" is nominally applied, how does it apply? It should not apply. Because you are a number, you do not have the quality of length, and you are not the same meaning as length. Thirdly, there are two parts: Refuting that numbers, etc., have differences in things. Refuting the arguments that arise on the side of no difference. First, there are three parts: Establishing no difference.
