Because it has the nature of being constant. If you accept that, then the embodied being, as the subject, the previous body and mind are the cause of the subsequent body and mind, in all those times, you should also see your last moment of death. Because your previous body and mind are the cause of the subsequent body and mind. If you accept that, then the next life is established. Second, elaborating on the absence of contradiction in connection has three points: The sign of the dying mind is uncertain; its similar example is devoid of dharma; refuting the proof of non-emptiness. The first point is: The Charvaka says, the mind of the ordinary person at the last moment of death, as the subject, does not connect to the subsequent consciousness, because it is a dying mind, like the dying mind of an Arhat. If so, then the mind at the last moment of death, as the subject, your reason for the ordinary person's mind at the last moment of death not connecting to the subsequent consciousness is incorrect. Because you connect to other minds, what contradicts the valid cognition? Because there is none. The second point is: The mind of the Arhat at the time of death, whatever it is, as the subject, your similar example of the ordinary person's mind at the time of death not connecting to the subsequent consciousness is incorrect. Because from which valid cognition do you think there is no connection? Because there is no valid cognition to prove it. The third point has two points: Refuting what is established by the Buddhist scriptures; refuting what is established by the Charvaka's own reasoning. The first point is: Buddhist, if what is famous in your doctrine can be used as an example, then Charvaka, as the subject, should not think that the dying mind of the Arhat in the Buddhist doctrine has no connection. Because the Buddhist doctrine is not a correct doctrine, if it follows the doctrine of meanings that are not established by valid cognition, then why should it not follow? Here, Lha Shakya says that the Arhat's dying mind not producing the subsequent mind is the ultimate meaning, and producing it is the provisional meaning. But Nyima and others say the opposite. However, in order to show the internal contradiction of the Charvaka's commitment, it is merely asking what is the reason for the Arhat's dying mind not connecting, and it is not that one's own doctrine thinks there is connection. The second point has four points: Stating what is accepted, then asking the question; elaborating on the reasoning that obstructs.

Therefore, refuting erroneous arguments. Elucidating the conclusion established by negation. First, if it is said that the mind of an Arhat at the moment of death does not generate the subsequent mind, because the cause of that mind is separated from the body. Then, the very fact of being separated from the body, why is it not stated in the context of proving that the last mind of an ordinary person at the moment of death does not generate the subsequent mind? It should be stated, because there is a valid proof as an example that should be stated, because the reason is the same. If accepted, then what is the use of an uncertain pervasion? It is meaningless. Second, there are six: Refuting that the body itself is the direct cause of the mind. Refuting that body and mind are cause and effect with an immediate cause. Refuting that which is not a generator is a support and supported. Refuting body and mind as cause and effect by other reasoning. Refuting that mind is the nature of the body. Refuting that mind is generated by relying on the body. First, there are three: Refuting that it is a direct cause by examining it. Even if it is only a cause, it is not a remover. If it is a direct cause, it is too extreme. First, if you say that the sign is stated by us as the establisher of not generating subsequent knowledge in both the example and the subject of dispute. If mind arises from the body, does it arise from a body with sense organs or a body without sense organs? For the time being, mind does not arise directly from a body with sense organs, because if it arises, mind, which is a dharma, should, like the wisdom of the eye, clearly apprehend form, because it is the knowledge of other awareness that arises directly from the sense organ of the eye. The remaining sense organs should also be applied in the same way, thereby preventing it from arising from each sense organ, and if it is said that it arises from the collection of all five. The five sense organs have the characteristic of dharma. It is not the case that one mind arises directly from the collection of all of you, because there are different abilities to generate the eye consciousness, etc., which have become the self-effects of each. If that mind arises directly from a body without sense organs, then, another body without sense organs has the characteristic of dharma. The conceptualization of mind does not arise directly from you, because you yourself are without mind. If body and mind are not support and supported, then it contradicts existing simultaneously, the body with a body and the conceptualization of mind have the characteristic of dharma. It is not the case that they exist simultaneously because of the reason of being support and supported, because it is a support.
