Like loading a yak that can't bleat, slaughtering and cutting meat like tilling a field with an incapable animal, piercing noses, butchering, and so on. All kinds of animals, such as birds flying in the sky and wild animals walking on the ground, and even all people seen, are viewed as executioners with knives, fearing being killed. Now, just having a human body is like being stabbed by five hundred short spears, so even being born in the human realm is suffering. The suffering of death and transference for gods is a hundred times greater than the suffering of hell, like grilling fish on hot sand. The suffering of Asuras, such as burning inside from fighting and being wounded, is similar to the above. The suffering of being born as a human is like being crushed by a weight when staying in the mother's womb without counting the time; like being hung up when hungry; like being boiled in hot water when eating hot food; and like being put in an ice cellar when eating cold food. At birth, it is like being squeezed between huge mountains; when falling to the ground, it is like being thrown into a thorn pit; when the amniotic sac is peeled off, it is like having the skin peeled off. Then, gradually aging, the teeth fall out, the hair turns white, the eyesight dims, the hearing fades, the back bends, standing is like being pulled, sitting is like falling, the feet cannot support the body, and being despised and humiliated by everyone, etc., is suffering. When sick, even a toothache is unbearable, let alone other illnesses. The suffering of death is also lying on the last bed, eating the last food, being surrounded by relatives, saying the last words, and as the dissolving process progresses, feeling the body falling into the ground (the ninth level). Helpless and without recourse, one can only breathe repeatedly from the nose and mouth, irreversibly ceasing to breathe, experiencing immeasurable fear and dread, but being unable to escape, it is suffering. Furthermore, what one has cannot be protected, what one lacks cannot be found, fearing encountering enemies, fearing separation from loved ones, fearing not having a son, fearing not marrying off a daughter, fearing the decline of territory, faction, and reputation, etc., are all suffering. Therefore, the happiness and wealth of samsara, even if one obtains the status of Brahma, Indra, or a Chakravartin king, are of no benefit. For example, a person imprisoned in a deep pit, except for the thought of escaping, does not want to stay for even a moment, has no attachment, and only thinks about when they can escape from here. Similarly, I believe that samsara has no happiness, only suffering.

Therefore, one must strive to escape as if fleeing from a pit of fire, a prison, or a swamp of foul stench, and completely purify the attachment to the eight worldly concerns and the desire for the pleasures and wealth of samsara, as well as the aspiration to achieve them, and the mind of renunciation. Four sessions. These are the common preliminaries. Second, the uncommon preliminaries are: the instructions on refuge and generating bodhicitta, which make the mind a vessel and turn whatever is done into the path of liberation; the practice and recitation of Vajrasattva, which purifies sins and obscurations; the instructions on the mandala, which perfect the two accumulations; and guru yoga, which swiftly brings blessings, totaling four. First, then, what is the method for liberation from the suffering of samsara and the reliable refuge? It is to rely on the Three Jewels, taking the Buddha as the teacher, the Dharma as the path, and the Sangha as the companions on the path, and thus traverse the path. Ultimately (page 10), the reliable refuge is only the Buddha, and all of that is gathered in the root guru, so take refuge in him. Having taken refuge, for the sake of all sentient beings, generate the unsurpassed bodhicitta, and thus accomplish the state of perfect Buddhahood. Furthermore, recognize all sentient beings as your parents, remember their kindness, and with the intention of repaying their kindness, in order to lead them to the state of Buddhahood, I will generate the mind of enlightenment and make aspirations just as all the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the past generated the mind of enlightenment and made aspirations, and I will train in that way, thus generating the mind of enlightenment. In short, the object of meditation is to visualize the essence of the Three Jewels as one, represented by five forms: in front is a vast ocean, surrounded by forests, in the center is the form of a wish-fulfilling tree, or any clear tree, with one trunk branching into five branches, in the center on a lotus, sun, and moon cushion, the root guru Vajradhara, with a blue body, holding a vajra and bell in a crossed position at his heart, seated in the vajra posture, adorned with all precious jewels, wearing silk garments, endowed with marks and signs, surrounded by the lineage gurus in a layered or gathered manner. On the branch in front is a lotus and sun cushion and a corpse cushion, or on the cushion of Bhairava Kalachakra, Chakrasamvara or the yidam
