Like throwing a stone into a bottomless deep water, it disappears without being able to separate and without a trace. The corpse was transported to a cemetery and buried forever. The mind does not know where it has gone, and where it will be born now. One cannot transcend such a fate, so one wonders, what about committing suicide now? It feels like all the desires pursued in this life are utter madness. It's like livestock being led to the slaughterhouse. But now intending to stay for a long time, if one lets oneself be in the state of the eight worldly concerns, non-virtue, and the unstated, there is no greater suffering than this, so abandon all the desires of this life. Hoping to do at least one thing for the next life, in a trembling state, without letting the mind wander, make a firm resolution to give up this life and strive to practice, no matter what, broaden one's mind. Therefore, the first important thing is to practice the impermanence of death. Think about those who have died in the past. One cannot transcend this fate either, so at the time of death, all enjoyments, fame, etc., cannot be taken away, and can only be left behind helplessly, without any benefit. At that time, the only beneficial thing is the Dharma, thinking in this way, first become the cause of entering the Dharma. It is also important in the middle, because one does not know when one will die, there is no time to stay leisurely, so it becomes a whip to urge oneself to practice the Dharma. It is also important in the end, because one must realize that death is the clear light Dharmakaya, or that the nature of death is the ultimate truth free from all elaborations. Therefore, one must diligently practice this. Two sessions. Third, contemplating the results of karma: So, after death, is it like being thrown away, disappearing like a candle being extinguished? If being born here is a free combination, that would be fine. But that is not the case, one must follow the karma one has created and take rebirth. Among them, if one mainly creates karma motivated by hatred, commits evil deeds towards powerful objects, and engages in fierce and numerous non-virtuous deeds, one will be reborn in hell. If one mainly creates karma motivated by desire, commits evil deeds relying on intermediate objects, and engages in intermediate non-virtuous deeds, and the number is only intermediate, one will be reborn as a hungry ghost. If one creates karma motivated by ignorance, commits evil deeds relying on ordinary and inferior objects, and engages in small...

Even if used sparingly, one will be reborn as an animal. If virtuous actions with outflows are practiced in three ways—great, medium, and small—one will be reborn as gods, demigods, and humans. Therefore, whatever actions one has accumulated will not be lost in the bardo; they will remain with oneself. Just as drawing a straight line, one will experience them without error. Therefore, one should always examine one's three doors of body, speech, and mind, and cultivate joy in those that have become virtuous (7), because they will not be lost. For the benefit of sentient beings, seal them with a completely pure dedication. For non-virtuous actions, one should properly perform confession and vows of repentance. It is very important not to associate with sins and downfalls, and to strive for correction. Whenever disturbing emotions and non-virtuous thoughts arise, one should immediately destroy them, and make a firm resolution not to let them prevail, practicing the acceptance and rejection of virtue and non-virtue without confusion. Three sessions. The fourth session is contemplating the faults of samsara: As mentioned above, due to the results of practicing non-virtuous and virtuous actions, one gradually takes rebirth in the lower realms. If one is reborn in hell, there are eight hot hells, eight cold hells, and two neighboring hells, totaling eighteen hells. In each of those places, there is unbearable suffering, immeasurable suffering, and no opportunity for happiness other than suffering. If one is reborn in the eight hot hells, even now, if one is touched by something hot and one's mouth is burned, it feels painful. What would it be like if boiling bile water burned all the internal organs, and one was boiled in a copper pot, etc.? If one experiences unimaginable suffering, what would one do? Even being pricked by a thorn causes pain. What need is there to mention being cut and dissected by burning knives and saws? Even wearing slightly thin clothes feels cold. If one is reborn in the cold hells, naked without clothes, the cold is piercing, unbearable, and one enters into danger, one's body cracking into pieces, etc., experiencing immeasurable suffering, so painful. If one is reborn as a hungry ghost, even now, if one does not eat for a single day, one cannot bear it. If one is reborn there, counting human months as days, for five hundred years, one will not find even a drop of water or a single grain of rice. Even if one finds it and eats it, it cannot pass through the throat, and the stomach cannot bear it. The internal organs are burned by the flames (8), causing suffering. If one is immersed in the animal realm, those who live in the outer ocean, and those who are scattered in the realms of gods and humans, also devour each other.
