Just like that, not practicing Dharma is also like that. From "Just like at the crossroads of the road, all perfections are spoken of, but I cannot attain them, not practicing Dharma is also like that" to "just like that" as it is said. Zhang Rinpoche said, "The arising of the wisdom of realization, ah, it does not arise from desire, it does not come from skilled analysts, it is not known by the greatly learned, it is not the realm of activity of speculators." And, "The spontaneous arising of the wisdom of realization, ah, not desire and indulgence, not skilled analysis and unskilled, not great learning and little learning, not wise and foolish, not good and bad experience, not strong effort and others, none of them can make it arise, rely on the skillful means of the Lama, understand from one's own merit. The skillful means of the Lama, refers to the arising of the power of blessing that pleases the realized Lama. One's own merit, refers to arising in the embers of purification. Therefore, the wisdom of realization, because it abides on the path of blessing, is the realm of activity of those with faith, it arises for those with reverence, it is the realization of the purified, the companion of all is diligence, it is seen by those with fortunate excellent faculties, it is not understood by those skilled in words. For such a fortunate person, the arising of non-dual realization, is through the blessing of the holy Lama, from the center of realization arises the Dharmakaya, from the center of mind itself arises non-duality, from the center of afflictions arises wisdom, from the center of experience arises realization." And so on, because it arises from the sutras, tantras, and the teachings of the Kagyu lineage. From the subsequent meaning onwards, to practice in common, the five distinctions of dispelling wrong views are practiced separately, which makes twenty-three Dharma classes. If summarized, the five are shown together, and one practice can be done here as well. Second, learning from the three wise ones, divided into three parts, the first part is: Body posture etc. as shown above, must be complete without faults, the method of settling the mind is also, if scattered, then at the scattered place, if settled, then at the settled place, observe the essence, in accordance with the above method of settling, as said in the oral instructions: "Like a Brahmin spinning thread, the yogi relaxes awareness, like a lamp not moved by the wind, clear and non-conceptual."

Rest! Like a crow driven from a ship, do not grasp at the mind that clings to objects. Like a flame spreading through a forest, let whatever appears rest in the Great Seal. Like the stars appearing in the ocean, let all appearances and existence rest in the Great Seal. Like a wise man training an elephant, let the yogi release awareness wherever it is comfortable. Like a flowing river, may the nature of mind always rest in the Dharmakaya. Just as fields need water and fertilizer, so should yogis rely on desirable objects. In this way, without artifice, in a natural and relaxed manner, rest without distraction in non-objective awareness. This is called being skilled at beginning meditation. Secondly, being skilled at interrupting meditation means: no matter what state you are in, do not emphasize long periods of continuation, but rather abandon the merging of samadhi and body posture, and transform it, practicing clear, short, and numerous meditations, and without being controlled by aversion, generate joy, and practice clear, bright, and energetic meditation. Finally, being skilled at cultivating experience means: no matter what experience of bliss, clarity, or non-thought arises, do not cling to it or be attached to it, and do not engage in the separation of good thoughts, bad thoughts, or neutral thoughts, but rather allow the experience to arise naturally through the power of awareness, which is called obtaining realization through experience, so you must be free from attachment to experience. The opposite of this is called losing realization for the sake of experience, so you must be skilled at cultivating without being attached to experience. The difference between experience and realization: experience does not go beyond the realm of the mind, so it is unstable. For example, like the sun in the clouds, the three experiences of bliss, clarity, and non-thought sometimes all three are high, sometimes any one is high, and sometimes nothing happens. However, if you do not cling to this and cultivate it, the defilements of the mind will be cleared away, and realization will naturally appear. Moreover, if you experience in a dualistic way of subject and object, that is experience; if it appears without an object, that is realization. If you experience with the mind, that is experience; if the mind itself appears as its own nature, that is realization. If you experience the appearance of things, that is experience; if you directly recognize the self-nature and realize the difference of things, that is realization. If the meditator's own mind, and the bliss, clarity, non-thought, emptiness, etc. of meditation, have something to meditate on or experience, that is experience; if the meditator and meditation are inseparable, and it is not just staying in imagination and understanding, but directly recognizing it, that is realization. Here, even if you only do one session
