There is no fault in taking a small amount of wool for the sake of completeness. Seventh, regarding the precept of avoiding having wool washed, the basis and so on are: Again, Bhikshu, and so on. The classification of combination is: Having it washed? and so on. That is, for the sake of making robes blessed by oneself, having sheep's wool washed? Having it beaten? The so-called "འཆག་", translated as having it washed, the limb of falling is like the time of having it washed. Eighth, regarding the precept of avoiding possessing precious things, the basis and so on are: Again, and so on. The characteristic of combination is: Taking? and so on. That is, the object that the Bhikshu of the basis has not done any of the three permissions for, gold, silver, etc. are precious things, the name of buying and selling etc. can be established, it is one's own, it exists manifestly within reach of the hand, the consciousness is not confused, and with the intention for one's own sake, one touches or wants to touch at will. The combination is that oneself or another manifestly designates, saying use this, put this down, etc., and finally completing the touch is avoiding. There is no difference in touching with a stick etc. that is related to the body. Within the limit, even if it is a precious thing, because it is broken and damaged, the name is lost and it cannot be valued, and making it look like a precious thing is a misdeed. There is no fault in lead, copper, etc. that are not made into precious things. The precepts are: What the Teacher allows is that needles and scales etc. are not mixed with precious things. Do not possess brass, copper, or wooden bowls. If you possess them, possess them with the thought of a medicine bowl. The only bowls that can be learned are the two made of iron and earth. There are three permissions for precious things: letting the donor be the owner, letting the layperson who acts as a steward or manager be the owner, and blessing with mantras, these are the three. For the purpose of fire and water, fire water crystal, and for the purpose of food and drink such as road rations, one can bless and carry karshapana (藏文,梵文天城体,karṣāpaṇa,梵文罗马拟音,karshapana,an ancient Indian monetary unit) etc., that is, rice, hot tsampa, meat, fish meat, oil, these five foods. Barley, coarse wheat, mustard seed, buckwheat, wheat, these five foods that one wants to eat. Gold, silver, वैडूर्य (藏文,梵文天城体,vaiḍūrya,梵文罗马拟音,vaidurya, lapis lazuli), (ཤེལ།(crystal), pearl, these five precious things. Lead, copper, raw iron, vitriol, blue vitriol, iron, these precious

The above is the explanation of the fifth case. Ninth, regarding (actions) with obvious signs: The object of reliance, etc., is "again," etc. The sign of the action is "various," etc. That is to say, a bhikkhu who does not possess special causes, is not a relative of a householder, his own property and wealth are not the same, he has autonomy over precious jewels or grains, etc., his cognitive perception is not confused, the intention he generates is for himself, and because he is greedy for profit, he engages in the act of profiting. When he finally obtains the profit, he abandons it. To profit for someone who is not a householder, as well as for others, as well as entrusting others, as well as profiting through letters, etc., when he obtains the profit, he commits a minor offense. What should be learned is: For the sake of the Three Jewels' activities, appoint a layperson, take a pledge as collateral. Witnesses, year, month, day, abbot appointment, along with the recipient and the profit-maker, affix a seal and signature, and let other bhikkhus also know. For the sake of the Three Jewels' property, profit for the sake of the Three Jewels' activities, and offer it to the Three Jewels. Tenth, regarding buying and selling: The basis of reliance, etc., is "again," etc., and the characteristic of the action is "form," etc. That is to say, the basis of reliance is that there are no previous debts entangled, and if the debt (30b) is not paid off, he will commit the offense of taking what is not given, etc., and does not possess these causes. The items are grain and cloth. The perception is not confused. The intention he generates is for himself, because he wants to engage in buying and selling at will, through the method of buying cheap and selling dear, when he finally obtains the profit, he abandons it. What should be learned is: For the benefit of the Sangha, grain should be purchased, and householders should not be allowed to participate in buying and selling. Let householders buy their own robes, etc. If there are no householders, truthfully inform the nature of the item, explain how much it is worth, and explain the added value. Not for the sake of the Three Jewels, do not hoard goods. If it cannot be sold at this time, say that interest will be increased, etc., do not set up a mortgage. Even for the sake of the Sangha, do not engage in commercial activities without reporting to the elders. Do not sell grain or other living things. For the latter two actions that should be abandoned, when confessing, the profits from these two actions must be completely abandoned. (The third set of ten). Summary: Two bowls and two weaving, taking what is not given, the harvest month, small matters, the person from the monastery and the great cloth, dedication and storage. Thus it is said. The first is allowed to be held.
