Please relinquish that pride of manifest attainment, arising from mastering the six branches of yoga and having the ultimate truth as the object, thereby giving rise to the realization of a uniquely wise being. For a deluded mind, all appearing phenomena are true, because all conventionalities are contradictory and flawed, therefore, under its influence, existence and non-existence contradict each other, so each is true separately. For an undeluded mind, all appearing phenomena are false, because all ultimates are without contradiction and flaw, therefore, under its influence, even if existence and non-existence contradict each other, each does not truly exist, existence is non-existence, and non-existence is existence, and so on. If one says that the two truths, etc., have differences of emptiness and non-emptiness in terms of merit and fault, that is also unreasonable, because the other-empty two truths of the ultimate are empty of faults and not empty of merits. If one says that the two truths have differences of self-emptiness and other-emptiness, that is also unreasonable, because the nature of both is other-empty, and in other-emptiness there is no difference of acceptance and rejection of self and other. If one says that sentient beings and Buddhas have differences of having or not having qualities such as power, that is also unreasonable, because all qualities such as the power of the unconditioned ultimate are also present in sentient beings, and the power of the conditioned conventional, etc., is also absent in the Buddha of the ultimate truth. If one says that samsara and nirvana are not equality, that is also unreasonable, because both samsara and nirvana of the conventional are unreasonable, and both samsara and nirvana of the ultimate are inseparable and one. If one says that all dharmas are not equality, that is also unreasonable, because in the ultimate, all dharmas are without contradiction and flaw, so whether one does A-equality or Cha-equality is permissible. This is pervasive, because of the two, conventional and ultimate, the ultimate is dominant, being the permanent reality that abides in the true state, (332b) the conventional is not dominant, being the imputed that does not abide in the true state. According to your view, half of the knowable will grasp each extreme of permanence and annihilation, because the ultimate truth grasps the extreme of permanence and eliminates the extreme of annihilation, and the conventional truth grasps the extreme of annihilation and eliminates the extreme of permanence. There is no choice but to accept this. In this way, the two truths cannot function in dependent origination, because permanence and annihilation cannot have function. Furthermore, the Jonangpas say, Prajna.

In the Five Hundred Treatises, whatever the Bhagavan said about form being without self-nature, without arising, without ceasing, being peaceful from the beginning, and being naturally in nirvana, that is not provisional but literal. Those who say these things are non-Buddhist ordinary beings. I say that is based on biased views. Similarly, because feelings and so on appear, in the intermediate turning of the wheel, all phenomena are said to be empty of self-nature, which is not literal, but is explained from the intermediate turning of the wheel itself. The meaning of those scriptures has already been extensively explained by the protector Nagarjuna, so this is seizing the opportunity to refute purity with impurity. Those scriptures of the Bhagavan, having negated that form is permanent, do not establish impermanence, and having negated non-emptiness, do not establish emptiness. Therefore, if emptiness and non-arising, etc., are grasped as their literal self-nature, it will turn into a non-Buddhist view, so emptiness, non-arising, etc., should also be understood as being empty of their own self-nature, as the literal definitive meaning. As it is said: If non-emptiness does not exist even a little, then how could emptiness exist? It has been well explained. Furthermore, the great Jonangpas and their followers say: The two truths are different, because they are different by negating the identity of essence, because conventional truth does not exist in reality and ultimate truth exists in reality, so the two, existence and non-existence, cannot be one, so from the non-existence of conventional truth, it is established that ultimate truth exists as something different. Also, the two truths are one, because they are one by negating the difference of essence, because conventional truth does not exist as being different in essence from ultimate truth, therefore, since there is no conventional apart from ultimate truth, the two truths are not established as two apart from one, and the two truths are not completely non-existent. Thus, the two truths, are not of one essence, because they are different by negating the identity of essence. Also, they are not of different essence, because they are one by negating the difference of essence, so not only is it self-contradictory, but in that case, even in terminology, because conventional truth is completely non-existent, the types of terminology
