Either you come and explain, there is no other choice; or you must be an incarnation of the lineage holder, so all these self-contradictory lies, if they are honest words, that's fine. Otherwise, if you say you are speaking of ultimate meaning, then all worldly dharmas, dharmata, should be other-empty, because the infallibility of karma and its results is true in conventional terms as it appears to the minds of ordinary beings. If it is not established, then ordinary beings do not need to properly accept or reject karma and its results in conventional terms, because that is what is desired. If it is not pervasive, then ordinary beings should also properly guard against falling into the ladder of rabbit horns in conventional terms, because in conventional terms, karma and its results and rabbit horns are the same in that they are not true as they appear in the mind, and in terms of cause and effect, if one can do this, then the other can also do it, and it will be the same until the end of the kalpa. Furthermore, ultimate meaning, dharmata, should be self-empty, because the ultimate truth that appears to the minds of ordinary beings is not true as it appears. If you think the first reason is not established, then you cannot show your ordinary (331b) students the ultimate truth that is distinguished by other-emptiness, unconditionedness, permanence, etc., because such a basis of distinction, the ultimate, cannot always appear in the minds of ordinary beings. If you admit it, then all the efforts you make for this dharma, what use is there other than to bring yourself complete disappointment? Furthermore, that which has conventionality as its object, dharmata, should be non-erroneous, because in the consciousness that has the world as its object, it exists as true as it appears as one and many. If it is not established, then in the worldly karma wind, the movement of twenty-one thousand six hundred solar winds and six hundred seventy-five wisdom winds cannot truly exist as one and different. Because it was said that it is not established. If you admit it, then stopping the movement of many impure winds and striving to accomplish the movement of pure winds becomes meaningless, because all those movements that appear as one and many are not true because they do not exist at all. That which has the ultimate as its object, dharmata, should be erroneous, because when ordinary beings take the ultimate as their object, the ultimate dharma is not true as it appears as one and many. If you think that it is impossible for ordinary beings to take the ultimate as their object, then you yourself to many ordinary students
