If it is lost, how does the chariot, which cannot be found even when searched for in seven ways, exist? When a yogi examines this, the existence of this chariot cannot be found. The chariot is merely posited by being damaged by the obscuration of ignorance. By realizing its self-nature as emptiness, one can easily enter into its meaning. The sound of Om does not lose the conventional truth either. Here, without examination, the establishment of the conventional chariot should be acknowledged through the door of the establishment of renown, and there is no fault in acknowledging it in this way, and it has merit. Secondly, it is divided into: the actual meaning, and clarifying it with an example. First: If the chariot truly exists, then there are no parts, and there are no its parts. It is okay for a yogi not to observe the chariot, but if it is said that only its parts exist in aggregation, then you are like searching for threads in ashes after the cloth has been burned, which is ridiculous. If the chariot itself does not exist, then there are no its parts, because there are no dependent parts. If one thinks that even when the chariot is broken, one can still see spokes and so on, so there are no parts, but there are parts, then it is impossible to have parts without having parts. The recognition of having seen a chariot with parts before, only when seeing fragments such as spokes, will one recognize that these are parts of the chariot, otherwise, for those who do not understand the relationship between it and the chariot, they will not recognize that this is a part of the chariot. Second: If the chariot is burned, there are no parts, like an example. The fire of wisdom burns the parts, and the parts are also burned. For example, just as when a chariot is burned by fire, its parts are also burned and disappear, when the fire of wisdom, which arises from rubbing the wood of discrimination, completely burns the chariot with parts, the parts will also be burned. Secondly, it is divided into: showing that the self is established dependent on the basis; its benefit is that it can dispel all views; liberation by realizing the absence of self and self-possession, these three parts. The first part is divided into: the way of establishing dependent on the aggregates and so on in conventional terms; the way of explaining the terms of action and agent. First: Similarly, the world also acknowledges that the self exists by relying on the aggregates, elements, and also by relying on the six sense bases. Just like relying on spokes and so on.

It relies on it to assemble vehicles and take spokes and other parts. Just as a vehicle is assembled, in worldly cognition, in order not to interrupt conventional terms, it is established that for this purpose, relying on the five aggregates, the six internal elements, and the six sense sources such as form, one clings to them as self. Therefore, the aggregates and so on are the objects of my clinging, and I am also considered to be the one who clings to them. (299b) The second is: Clinging is action, and this is also the agent. Just as the establishment of clinging and the clinger, like a vehicle, in worldly expressions, it is also said in the same way for my action and agent. The clinging aggregates and so on are actions, and I am their agent, which is established without examination. Because I have accumulated merit and demerit, as well as unwavering actions, it is said that I take the aggregates of the three realms. Now, apart from the schools that believe in the substantial existence of persons, if we explain the basis of imputation, the necessity, and the harm to reality for those who believe that sentient beings and persons are imputations, then regarding the basis of imputation: how it arises from the common Mahayana and Hinayana scriptures, and how it arises from the uncommon Great Secret Vajrayana scriptures. The first is: the Vaibhashika and Sautrantika schools hold that it is imputed to the respective continuums of the five aggregates. In the verses of the ultimate truth, it is said: The continuum is called a person, holding characteristics is called dharma. Here there is no one who transmigrates, nor anyone who enters nirvana. So it is said. The Yogachara school believes that if the five aggregates are separate, then form and so on would become persons, and if they are a collection, then in the formless realm and the five states of unconsciousness, etc., there would be no basis for the imputation of a person, so it is imputed to the continuum of the alaya consciousness. In the "Three Continuums Distinctly Determined" it says: If one analyzes separation and collection, the continuum of the five aggregates (300a) is not a person, therefore, the continuum of the seed alaya consciousness is considered to be a person. So it is said. To this, some say that there is a fault that the Buddha would also become a non-person, which is unreasonable. Because in their view, mirror-like wisdom is the continuum of alaya.
