As it says, those who consider the last wheel to be literally definitive, and those who believe that ultimate truth is not empty of its own essence, should also deeply contemplate this scriptural statement. Incidentally, those who believe that ultimate truth is not empty of emptiness, and that its essence is truly established, should also think carefully. In particular, even if one considers the intermediate wheel to be literally definitive, as it says in the "Mother Sutra": "Regarding what is the Perfection of Wisdom, one does not see form as permanent, or impermanent. Because even form itself is not seen there, how can one see permanence or impermanence?" It is the same up to the state of omniscience. When teaching in this way, it is not a false teaching like the Perfection of Wisdom. Thus, phenomena such as form, which are established by conventional measurement, are not empty of their own essence, and are not the object of refutation by reasoning. This is also extensively refuted through future prophecies. In accordance with this, in the "Meeting of Father and Son Sutra," it says: "Bhagavan, ignorance does not exist by ignorance itself. Why is that? Because ignorance is devoid of inherent nature. Any dharma that does not have inherent nature is not a thing. Anything that is not a thing is not completely established. Anything that is not completely established does not arise, does not cease. Anything that does not arise or cease cannot be designated as past, is not future, and cannot be designated as present. Anything that is not valid in the three times is without name, without characteristic, without sign, and cannot be designated. It is only a name, a convention, a term, a conventional expression, a designation, for the purpose of guiding sentient beings. Ignorance is not seen in ultimate truth. Any dharma that is not seen in ultimate truth cannot be designated, nor can it be designated in conventional truth, nor can it be expressed. Bhagavan, whatever is merely a name is not true." As it is extensively explained, if we examine the conventional dependent origination as asserted by others, from ignorance and form, etc., up to the wisdom of omniscience, all knowable phenomena are emptiness within emptiness in the two truths. The subject to be established or refuted, this subject and the diversity of its nature are like this.
