If the root sign is established, that alone is not sufficient to encompass the fact that cause and effect are materially separate and do not deceive each other. Because there is the saying, "Arising and ceasing, you think you see them in your mind, arising and ceasing are seen by the sleep of delusion." Especially, it does not grasp the general of other distinctions. If it is said that it grasps the distinction, then grasping the distinction is not contradictory. Because if the general of other pervasive things is prevented, then the other distinct things that are pervaded by it will also not be established. For example, the seed of rice is not the producer of the rice sprout, is not capable, does not belong to the same lineage, and is not of the same kind, because they are different from the rice sprout. Just as barley, lotus stamens, and flame flowers, etc., are not considered to be the producers of rice sprouts, because they are not capable of producing rice sprouts, do not belong to the same lineage, and are not of the same kind, because they are different, the situation is just like that. Here, the teacher Phywa-pa says: If the realist believes that the cause produces the effect, it is produced from a cause that is different from the effect. If it arises from something else, then the pervasiveness of cause and effect is not accepted, so the teacher Chandrakirti's statement that thick darkness also arises from flames is not a real fault. This is merely saying something random without understanding the key point of the reasoning of another (132b) famous statement of the Consequentialist (Thal-'gyur-ba). Because the Consequentialist believes that if the cause produces the effect, you admit that it is produced by a cause different from the effect, then if another cause produces another effect, then the effect of any thing will be produced by all causes different from it, whether you admit it literally or not. If the previous pervasiveness should be admitted, then based on the same reason, the latter pervasiveness is actually established for you realists, so it will be said that thick darkness arises from flames, because they are different. But the Consequentialist does not admit such a previous and subsequent pervasiveness of the realist in any way according to his own system, so in this case, the teacher Chandrakirti made a real refutation to the realist.

Therefore, it can be established that there is no harm in stating it. Therefore, no matter how loud the fearless lion's roar is proclaimed by the Prasangika Madhyamikas, the worms of conceptual thought cannot hear it at all. This is not the fault of the Madhyamikas, but the fault of the conceptual thinkers themselves for having little merit. When speaking of Madhyamika here, the only thing to be refuted is the other-origination that is established in both the ultimate and conventional truths. Some Tibetans say that the Madhyamikas refute the truly other-origination that is established from the object's own side. If the Madhyamikas also follow the establishment of origination by conventional valid cognition, then it is not appropriate to accept the three origination of self-origination, etc., because then there would be no choice but to accept other-origination. This statement is not reasonable, as it seems to be spoken in a deceptive manner by someone with poisonous intelligence. Speaking in such a deceptive manner (133a), if one follows the valid cognition of conventional truth that is directly revealed, one accepts other-origination, but does not accept other origination. However, from the implication of that statement, it is said that one does not accept other-origination from the perspective of logical analysis. By saying so, it is clear that they want to actually accept other-origination in analysis, so they say that, because conventional valid cognition cannot establish other origination, and it is said that other-origination can be established through reason. Therefore, the speaker himself speaks of other-origination after analyzing it with reason. If it is not said after analyzing it with reason, then conventional valid cognition cannot establish other origination, and the difference that other-origination can be established cannot be established either. Therefore, you people hide the fact that you actually accept the origination of analysis with deceptive words, and say from the perspective of conventional valid cognition that if it arises conventionally, it must arise from others, etc. This statement does not thoroughly understand the ultimate meaning of the Madhyamika of the glorious protector Nagarjuna, because accepting that sprouts do not arise in the analysis of reason, such as from self or other, is the meaning of the protector Nagarjuna, and it contradicts "There is no origination from others in the world." Because the other-origination established by conventional valid cognition exists in the Madhyamika system. In short, in the Madhyamika system, accepting other-origination is the origination of analysis, the origination of reason, the origination established by its own characteristics, the cause and effect are different substances, they do not depend on each other, the agent and the object are different entities, and the cause
