The wisdom that transcends the world, possessing the aspect of two kinds of selflessness, is referred to as the gate of liberation, such as emptiness. The fourth is: Of liberations, the nature is complete liberation. The nature of the eight liberations is: because it liberates from the obscurations of meditative absorption, it possesses the nature of complete liberation. The eight are: A form possessor viewing forms is the first liberation. Internally perceiving formlessness, viewing external forms is the second liberation. The impure liberation, which is the nature of the fourth dhyana (347a), is the third liberation. The four formless liberations, and the liberation of cessation of perception and feeling. The first is: In order to be liberated from the obscuration of transformation, relying on the substance of dhyana, the yogi establishes the perception of form in himself, and delights in various forms of external objects, such as impurity and purity, large and small, which is calm abiding and insight. The second is: The other is the same as before, the difference is that the yogi himself destroys the perception of form in himself. The third is: In order to be liberated from the obscuration of desire and non-desire for the transformation of purity and impurity, relying on the fourth dhyana, the yogi destroys the perception of form in himself, and focuses on the three: purity, impurity, and the intermediate. He cultivates calm abiding and insight by delighting in the perception of mutual dependence between them, the perception of association, and finally, the impurity becoming one. The four formless liberations are for the purpose of liberating from the obscuration of the taste experience of their respective meditative absorptions. Among them, the liberation of the sphere of infinite space, at the time of application, one delights in thinking that space is infinite, and at the time of the main practice, the calm abiding and insight that has a complete clear appearance of it, liberates from the obscuration of the taste experience of one's own meditative absorption. Similarly, for the sphere of infinite consciousness, and the sphere of nothingness, and the liberation of the sphere of neither perception nor non-perception (347b), one should understand each accordingly. The eighth is: In order to be liberated from the obscuration of the cessation of perception and feeling, relying on the mind of the peak of existence, the coarse perception and feeling

Eliminating all obstacles. Second, the powers, fearlessnesses, individual correct knowledges, great love, etc., as well as the Buddha's unshared dharmas, and the six characteristics of omniscience. First: The powers are said to be the nature of complete determination. The ten powers that will be explained are said to be of the nature of complete determination, because they are completely determined and therefore without obstruction. Second: The fearlessnesses of protection are of an extremely stable essence. The fearlessnesses of protection are: I have manifestly and completely awakened to all dharmas, and if someone were to object that this dharma has not been awakened to, then there is no fear regarding the dharma of self-benefit realization. I have exhausted all defilements, and if someone were to object that this aspect of defilement has not been exhausted, then there is no fear regarding the dharma of self-benefit abandonment. The dharmas of obstacles that I have spoken to the Shravakas, even if practiced, will not become obstacles, and there is no one to object, therefore there is no fear in teaching the dharma of obstacles for the benefit of others. The path I have shown to definitely liberate from suffering, even if practiced, will not definitely liberate from this suffering, and there is no one to object, therefore there is no fear in teaching the path of definite liberation for the benefit of others, these are of an extremely stable essence, because no one can change them. Third: The individual correct knowledges are characteristics of immeasurable qualities such as confidence. The four individual correct knowledges that will be explained are characteristics of being without limit or without limitation in anything, because there is no attachment or obstruction to the four objects. Fourth: Bringing benefit to beings is accomplishing near benefit, this is called great love. Completely protecting those who suffer, this is great compassion. Joy is the nature of great joy, equanimity is said to be the nature of non-contamination. The nature of bringing temporary and ultimate benefit to beings, this is called the Buddha's great love. Completely protecting suffering beings, this is the Buddha's great compassion. The Buddha's great joy is that all beings have happiness and
