拜见了遍知多吉羌钦哲旺波(kun mkhyen rdo rje 'chang mkhyen brtse'i dbang po)的圣容。

After that, I received all the empowerments and transmissions of about ten volumes of 'Collected Methods of Accomplishment' from Kunga Jamyang (Kun dga' 'jam dbyangs), the Dharma Lord of Ngari. I returned to my homeland. I engaged in various virtuous activities such as retreat and practice, and studying scriptures. At the age of twenty-five, I went to Derge (sde dge) again. I met the sacred countenance of the omniscient Dorje Chang Khyentse Wangpo (kun mkhyen rdo rje 'chang mkhyen brtse'i dbang po). Although I did not receive many teachings, I listened to the explanations of 'The Way of the Bodhisattva', 'The Three Vows', 'Entering the Middle Way', and 'The Ornament of the Middle Way' from other scholars, and tried to contemplate their meaning. From Jamgon Lama Lodro Thaye ('jam mgon bla ma blo gros mtha' yas), I received the Vajradhara empowerment that opens the door to the eighty-four great accomplished ones, and the blessings of each of the eighty-four accomplished ones. The empowerment of the Yidam Achala (Tibetan: ཡི་དམ་མི་གཡོ་བ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: अचल, Sanskrit Romanization: Acala, Chinese literal meaning: Immovable One) and the permission of the protector Four-Armed Mahakala (Tibetan: བཀའ་སྲུང་མགོན་པོ་ཕྱག་བཞི་པ, Sanskrit Devanagari: चतुर्भुजमहाकाल, Sanskrit Romanization: Chaturbhuja Mahakala, Chinese literal meaning: Four-Armed Great Black One), the instructions on the Six Dharmas of the Great Accomplished Ones, the transmission of all the written materials, the Guru Yoga of Marpa, Milarepa, and Gampopa, transference of consciousness, the Six Dharmas, the instructions on Mahamudra, the permission of White Manjushri, and the blessings of Sa Jamba, and many other teachings before returning to my homeland. From Khenpo Lobsang Jinpa (mkhas dbang blo bzang sbyin pa), I learned the connection method of the grammar of Kalapa, the 'Nomenclature', the 'General Explanation', and the explanation of the twenty-five chapters of 'Krt', the meaning of all three chapters of poetics, the presentation of lectures, writing, and offerings, and the explanation, guidance, and practice of the 'Source of Preciousness' in prosody. At the age of twenty-seven, from Thartse Dorje Chang Jamyang Rinchen Dorje ('jam dbyangs rin chen rdo rje) of Donling, I received the complete teachings of the Lamdre (Path and Result) with all its parts of maturation and liberation, along with the transmissions, preceded by the permission of the Mountain Dwelling Woman. After that, for a while, I engaged in retreat and practice, and requested teachings from the same lama, and also taught some minor teachings to others. At the age of thirty-six, my father passed away. In the autumn after that, I went with only a few attendants to meet Lama Chola (chos lha) at Kalsang Monastery (skal bzang dgon). From the lama, I received the empowerments of the seven mandalas of the Ngor tradition, the blessings of the Dakini, and a brief summary of the instructions. The subsequent permission of the Lord of Time, and many other teachings. I gave many Dharma talks and spread the Dharma in the various monasteries there. In winter, I returned to my own place. Previously, I had intended to meditate on the visualizations of the Lamdre for fifteen years, and at that time, the death of my father, and the news of the passing of Dhezhung Tulku Sonam Drakpa Lungrik Nyima (snyan grags lung rigs nyi ma), became causes for renunciation. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In my thirty-seventh year, on the first day of the first month, in order to eliminate obstacles in practice, I received the empowerment of Gonpo Trochu (怙主忿怒十尊) from Je Lama (Venerable Lama) Drubton (Diligent) Dampa (Holy) Kunga Nyima (All-Joyful Sun). On the third day, I sealed the door and entered retreat. At that time, Je himself made the following vows and aspirations for practice: Until the tolerance for Dharma is born, with the thought of benefiting others, engage in practice, abandoning all the entanglements of worldly affairs, may I live on the essence of the nectar of the three solitudes! Those scholars who are attached to reading and debate mostly wave empty rhetoric; many foolish practitioners increase the darkness of ignorance. May I not be struck by the self-appearance of these degenerate times! Through hearing and thinking, skillfully cut off the additions and subtractions, with a broad view of all that is knowable. For the one who holds the victory banner of single-pointed practice, may I not be distracted even for a moment! With the determination to stake life and limb, don the armor of achieving liberation in this life. May I be freed from the shackles of being bound by the eight worldly dharmas, and become a yogi who matches name with reality! Taking compassion and bodhicitta as the foundation, with the swift path of the profound samadhi of the two stages, may I effortlessly accomplish the thirteen-deity Vajra Mandala with the three great characteristics in this very life! Having completely abandoned self-interest and perfected realization, through the activity of the four means of attraction for the benefit of others, following the ultimate dance of the all-illuminating beauty, may I lead all beings to the path of happiness and well-being! In short, for the sake of the Dharma and the benefit of beings, may I manifest the fruit of practicing the profound path, and may I always be victorious over the hordes of outer, inner, and secret demons and all their harms! After making such vows, one should first contemplate the biographies of the lineage gurus and pray with devotion. While remembering all the biographies in mind, visualizing Manjushri Lama (འཇམ་དབྱངས་བླ་མ་) as the embodiment of all refuge objects, including the root and lineage gurus, I offered a hundred thousand prostrations while reciting 'Sheja Madon'. Then, I gradually practiced the paths of the three appearances (སྣང་གསུམ་). During the breaks between sessions, I diligently engaged in activities such as prostrations to accumulate merit and purify obscurations. Among all the points of focus for meditation, it seems that contemplating impermanence (མི་རྟག་པ་) is extremely important for beginners, as it is said. I meditated on impermanence for thirteen months. I also practiced the other meditation points without any omissions, and in this way, three full years passed. While practicing the three appearances, I completed twenty-three million refuges. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
