Jamyang Konga Tendzin Teachings JTG4: 'The Amazing Jewel Garland' - A Biography of Je Lama Dorje Chang Ngawang Kunga Lekpai Jungne Yeshe Gyaltsen Pal Zangpo. Part 1-79 'The Amazing Jewel Garland' - A Biography of Je Lama Dorje Chang Ngawang Kunga Lekpai Jungne Yeshe Gyaltsen Pal Zangpo. 'The Amazing Jewel Garland' - A Biography of Je Lama Dorje Chang Ngawang Kunga Lekpai Jungne Yeshe Gyaltsen Pal Zangpo. Namo guru su-vāgindrāya (Sanskrit). Lord of Speech, Manjushri Lama, Whose wisdom, love, and power combine as one. Whose eloquent words are a treasure of Sutra and Tantra's ocean, I prostrate to the kind root Guru. Whose secret body, speech, and mind possess limitless qualities, No different from those great beings of the past. Yet I, a foolish child, Am not a suitable vessel for devotion. However, having served at your lotus feet for a long time, I will briefly write down some of the holy words and what I have seen and heard. Without flattery or exaggeration, But truthfully and concisely. May the assembly of fortunate disciples listen, Who are nourished by the nectar of your words, Whose minds are protected from the heat of karma and affliction by your compassion, And who rely on the cool shade of your supreme white umbrella. Thus, this being is the embodiment of all Buddhas of the three times, the master of all lineages and mandalas, and possesses incomparable kindness. Although it is difficult to express his name, for the sake of others, he is called Ngawang Kunga Lekpai Jungne Yeshe Gyaltsen Pal Zangpo. This venerable one is a great being who has already attained a high level of realization. To benefit sentient beings, he vowed to appear in this degenerate age as a Vajradhara Bhikshu with the three trainings. Therefore, no one can fully describe his biography. 1-80 The biography of this life, according to the Lama's own words: I prostrate to the Lama and the Three Jewels! I, the Shakya Bhikshu Ngawang Lekpa, was born in Gya Medzi'da, my father was Kunga Drakpa, and my mother was Lhamo Dron. My parents had seven children, and I was the eldest. Although I was not many months old when I was born, I clearly remember the scene of the Palchung Palgye family welcoming the bride. In general, I remember the behavior of my childhood very clearly, which may be a sign that my mind is relatively clear. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(Ngawang Shedrup)

At the age of seven, I received the lay vows from Khenchen (Great Khenpo) Dorje Chang (Vajradhara) Kunga Lodro. I received the root empowerment of glorious Hevajra (Pal Kyedorje) and the subsequent permission of White Saraswati (Yangchenma). After that, I gradually practiced the recitation of White Tara (Dolkar) for pacifying, etc., but because I was young and ignorant, it was not done properly. At the age of ten, I received from the accomplished master (Grubchok) Ngawang Shedrup all the blessings and instructions of the Dakini (Kha Chod Ma). At the age of fifteen, I went to Thaklung Namgyal Ling Monastery to participate in monastic activities. In the spring of my sixteenth year, from the powerful accomplished master Jampal Tenzin, I received: The empowerment of the five mandalas of Black Mahakala (Dorje Nakpo Chenpo), the subsequent permission of the twelve goddesses, the eight gods, the three sibling deities, the extensive outer explanation of Dragdzongma, preceded by the subsequent permission of the ten wrathful deities, and the profound and vast transmission of the secret instructions, preceded by the subsequent permission of the nine secret deities. After returning, I pretended to be in retreat practicing the protector (Gonpo), and as a result, many very thick black hairs, like yak tail hairs, grew on the torma (offering cake). On the torma offered to the mouth, many white hairs, like white yak tail hairs, also grew. At that time, I didn't understand anything, but later, when reading the biography of Khenchen Palden Chokyong, I saw that when he was residing in the Ngor Labrang government, many hairs also grew on the tormas, and that hair-like things grew on the Damdza torma in the Bebum (a type of container) for the mouth, and it was said that this was a sign of accomplishing the four activities through that Dharma. In the biographies of other lamas, it is also mentioned that hair grows on the torma, and that it appears to be shimmering with the five colors of the rainbow. Later, when changing the torma, I looked at those hairs in the sun and saw that they were indeed shimmering with the five colors of the rainbow. This seems to be a sign that I have met a deity with whom I have a karmic connection from a previous life. In the autumn of that year, I received from that very accomplished master the very extensive blessings and instructions of the Dakini, as well as the transmission of the Bebum like the Mochen catalog. I also received the transmission of many Dakini Dharma cycles that were not included in it, and the detailed transmission of the subsequent permission of the protector Durtro Dakpo (Lord of the Cemetery), etc. For the next two or three years, I copied scriptures and practiced recitation and meditation as much as possible. From a young age, I was generally interested in hearing, thinking, and meditating (Thosam Gomsum), and especially had genuine devotion to the lama.
