In short, whatever hell-beings and hungry ghosts there are, the subduer emanates into forms similar to them, and never neglects the benefit of sentient beings. In these six realms of the world, the teachers act for the benefit of sentient beings in accordance with their own perceptions of happiness and suffering, high and low, in the six realms created by karma and habitual tendencies, the causes and effects of virtue and vice. The Dharma for taming is also uncertain, depending on the intelligence and thoughts of the beings to be tamed. Time also follows the fortune of each individual's karma, and this is how it appears to beings in impure realms. That is to say, from that naturally emanated body, countless emanations arise, and in the various realms of the six destinies, to tame the gods, they emanate as Brahma, Indra, and the Blissful One, such as Ishvara. To tame humans, they emanate as Hearers, Solitary Realizers, Bodhisattvas, and Wheel-Turning Kings. Similarly, to tame the Asuras, they emanate as skilled weavers. To tame birds, they emanate as wooden horses. To tame wild animals, they emanate as lion kings, and the steadfast deity, and so on. In short, for whatever beings, such as hell-beings and hungry ghosts, and the objects to be tamed, they emanate into forms similar to them, and never neglect or exert themselves for whatever benefit is needed by any sentient being. From here to the various realms of the six worlds, in the six realms formed by the karma of black and white and its habitual tendencies, the causes and effects of virtue and vice, the teachers act for the benefit of sentient beings in accordance with their own perceptions of happiness and suffering, high and low. The Dharma for taming is also uncertain, depending on the high and low capacities and the amount of thoughts of the beings to be tamed. Time also follows the fortune of each individual's good and bad karma, and this is how it appears to all beings in impure realms. That is the end of the statement. The root text: Whoever sees a Buddha in a dream, or even if the Dharma of emanation is taught like a dream, its essence is without inherent existence, its nature is unestablished, and it should be understood to accumulate selflessness and emptiness. As it is said in the profound sutras, in the play of samsara and nirvana like a dream, even if the essence of the appearing Buddha is pure, the form appears as if it were the being to be tamed. Therefore, the emanation of the play of impure compassion will never cease as long as samsara is not empty. This passage says that whoever sees a Buddha in a dream, or dreams of the Dharma of emanation being taught like a dream, its essence
