Chapter Thirteen: Showing the Ultimate Fruition, Body, and Wisdom. Chapter Thirteen: Showing the Ultimate Fruition, Body, and Wisdom. Root Text: Thus, having well understood the characteristics of the ground and path, the ultimate fruition, body, and wisdom, do not arise from anything else; the impurities of the ground of all are cleared away; mind and mental events are pacified in the dharmadhatu. Wherever the ground-appearance stirs from the ground, the clinging to self, habitual tendencies, and clinging to the aspects of knowable things, the eight collections that take up things, like clouds, are the sun of pristine awareness, completely pure, its own nature clear as light without obscuration. Commentary: Thus, the state of the ground, the knower of all knowable things, the truth of the path, the characteristic of all that is uncompounded, having been well understood, at the ultimate time, the fruition, the five bodies and five wisdoms, etc., do not arise from anything else, but the impurities of one's own ground of all are cleared away, that is, mind, the basis of confusion, and mental events, which are only confused thoughts, are pacified or realized in the dharmadhatu, and wherever the original ground, the unindicated, the ground-appearance, that is, the mind, slightly stirs, its power increases, and clinging to self and habitual tendencies, etc., the five kinds of consciousness of clinging to the aspects of confused thoughts of knowable things, and mind-consciousness, afflicted mind, the ground of all, that is, the eight collections that take up things, like clouds, are the completely pure pristine awareness, like the essence of the sun, where the basis of darkness does not remain, without any collection of obscurations, its own nature is clear as light. Also, the three, ground, path, and fruition, from the aspect of the unchanging from the single original purity of awareness, dividing into the five bodies, are: the unchanging vajra, manifest enlightenment, the three, dharma, enjoyment, and emanation bodies, these are the five bodies. Root Text: Having abandoned the adventitious stains together with their parts, the two-fold pure is the supreme essence of enlightenment, the realm of the primordial Buddha without aspiration, the full moon is clear outwardly with proliferation. Like the part of emptiness dissolving into the realm, always non-conceptual, the nature of reality is without change, the permanence of the realm is the unchanging vajra body. Commentary: Also, from the beginning, it is naturally completely pure, and not stained by adventitious stains, it is two-fold pure. Such a nature is the supreme essence of enlightenment, called the realm of the primordial Buddha without aspiration. Its example is the full moon, that is, the fifteenth of
