The five are completely transformed. Awakening to the nature of the five wisdoms, the essence of the five families and the five wisdoms. Among them, the water empowerment washes away impurities, and the five, namely, bestowing the crown ornament, vajra and bell, and conferring the name, are the cause of generation and accomplishment. The essence of empowerment, taking water empowerment as an example, both the student and the empowerment substance remain immovable and clearly manifest. By pouring the vase water, it purifies the aggregates of consciousness and hatred in their continuum, and manifests the mirror-like wisdom. Through explanation, the empowerment substance and the student are generated into four castes, and by bestowing the four empowerment substances, it purifies the aggregates and afflictions in the continuum of the recipient, and manifests wisdom, etc., which should be understood with flexibility. The special case is that whichever deity the flower falls upon is generated as that deity. By pouring the vase water, which is the self-generated deity, on the crown of the head, it washes away the internal and external impurities, so that the object to be purified and the result of purification in their continuum are also connected to the family and wisdom of that deity as above. If the flower falls on the Tathagata family, then the precious crown ornament or head ornament, the Tathagata vajra, the bell, and the name of the Tathagata family are bestowed, namely, the crown ornament of the five families, the first vajra, and the bell and name symbolized by it. For the Vajra family, the five Buddhas and the Vajra garland crown ornament, the wrathful vajra, and the bell are bestowed. For the Lotus family, Amitabha and the Lotus garland crown ornament, the vajra lotus, the bell, and the name are bestowed. For the Ratna family, the jewel sprout crown ornament and the name, the vajra jewel, the bell, and the name are bestowed. For the Karma family, the variegated vajra crown ornament, the variegated vajra, the bell, and the name are bestowed. Among them, the name empowerment is to add "ཀྱཻ།" (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, literal meaning: kye, kye, kye, hey!) to the beginning of the name on which the flower falls, as a sound of bliss, and to crown it with the name of auspiciousness and vajra, holding the vajra and bell on the head and reciting it three times. Having thus obtained the five family empowerments, since one is born into that family, one does not transgress the actions of that family, and from the branch vows belonging to it, namely, from the two, the upright and the definite, the self-view of the Yoga Tantra, "You shall not kill living beings," etc., one learns the five grounds of learning, namely, the unsurpassed and the common learning. From the aspect of the empowerment, the five aggregates are transformed into the five elements, and the result of obtaining the transformation of the basis.

It is to combine with the self-nature of the five Tathagatas' abandonment and realization. Even so, in the end, it is only understanding that cannot reverse the part of afflictions and ignorance, because duality has not been abandoned. For example, in the case of water empowerment, the alaya consciousness to be purified and the clinging of the mind defiled by sudden anger are grasped, but in reality, they have never been established on the object. Samsara is produced by illusion. Just as a flower rope is seen as a snake and a conch shell is seen as a person, the aggregate of alaya consciousness also appears to be established even though it is not established in its own nature. Recognizing the flaw in the nature of reality is the Victorious One, Akshobhya. Anger is also established by illusion, but it is not established in reality. This is merely a part of the all-supreme wisdom, like a mirror that shows all knowable dharmas. This is called the object to be purified and the means of purification, which are established by the ultimate truth. In reality, all dharmas are without self-nature in their essence, or rather, they are established as non-abiding. Therefore, they cannot be established in both the object to be purified and the result of purification. However, temporarily, in order to eliminate the fear of children, they are established in the form of the five families and the five wisdoms, but in reality, they have already exceeded the scope of mental measurement. If this is not understood, then the mantra path is not merely a straightforward declaration of the true meaning, but is said to be a vast self-nature, and it also falls into that one and only Suchness, and one does not understand that the entire body of its path is completely fulfilled in the self-nature of empowerment. In this way, on top of the five family empowerments, adding the empowerment of conduct, prophecy, permission, and subsequent permission, are the six empowerments of the disciple. The Vajra Acharya empowerment that arises from that method, if it has already been obtained in this way, then it is sufficient if the Acharya's vows have been given in the previous abiding stage. If not, then in order to generate the power to subsequently permit benefiting others at this moment, the vase empowerment is mainly performed, and mainly guarding the three samayas. Of these two, the latter is reasonable, therefore it is called the irreversible empowerment. Just as in the Sutra path, those of uncertain lineage are also said to be irreversible when they attain the path of joining. That is, holding the vajra with the samaya of the mind, ringing the bell with the speech, and both making the embracing mudra. The difference in the samadhi of bliss and emptiness that arises from these three is not merely the bliss of the embracing mudra with limited lineage, like the five family empowerments.
