"After emptiness and compassion arise." This means that, like this, in meditative equipoise, one meditates on emptiness, and in the post-meditation period, one practices generosity and so on, which have the essence of compassion, and completely accomplishes the two accumulations. This is the path of accumulation. Whoever has the basis of newly generated Mahayana bodhicitta can attain Mahayana bodhicitta for the first time and can enter the lesser path of accumulation. In terms of the specific methods of meditation, there are three types of the path of accumulation: great, medium, and small. The small path of accumulation consists of the four mindfulnesses: mindfulness of the body, which is to meditate like the sky in meditative equipoise, and to meditate on impurity and illusion in the post-meditation period; mindfulness of feelings, which is to meditate on non-arising in meditative equipoise, and to meditate on all feelings as illusory and like water bubbles, without essence, in the post-meditation period; mindfulness of the mind, which is to meditate on emptiness of inherent existence in meditative equipoise, and to meditate on non-cessation and non-abiding in the post-meditation period; mindfulness of phenomena, which is to meditate on equality in meditative equipoise, and to meditate on the eight similes of illusion and so on in the post-meditation period. The medium path of accumulation is to prevent unwholesome dharmas that have not arisen from arising, and to cut off the continuity of those that have arisen; to generate wholesome dharmas that have not arisen, and to increase those that have arisen, engaging in diligence and meditating on the antidote of selflessness and illusion or dreams and so on. The great path of accumulation is the four legs of miraculous power, which are the four samadhis of the seventh branch, diligence, mind, and investigation. Because miraculous powers, direct perception, and eyes, etc., can be accomplished through the power of meditative pliancy, they are called the legs of miraculous power. After that is the path that quickly connects to the non-conceptual wisdom of the path of seeing, where the basis of the body is any of the five realms of existence, and the basis of the mind is any of the six dhyana grounds. That is, in the two stages of heat and peak, one should practice the five faculties of faith, diligence, mindfulness, samadhi, and wisdom. In the two stages of forbearance and supreme dharma, one should believe with faith, rejoice with diligence, not forget with mindfulness, focus single-pointedly with samadhi, and understand the nature with wisdom. That is, one should meditate in this way on the four aspects of decisive discrimination, which can be divided into twelve through the distinctions of great, medium, and small. The details can be found in the extensive commentary. From here onwards, the nature of wisdom, the part of meditative equipoise, is non-

The wisdom of conceptualization, emptiness, and the subsequent attainment arising from it, exists in various forms, both with and without conceptualization, possessing great compassion. Root verse: Having attained the path of seeing, these two, unite and are inseparable. At the first ground of utmost joy, the truth of reality is directly seen. This means that upon attaining the path of seeing, the two, emptiness and compassion, unite, with no gathering or separation. When reaching the first ground called "Utmost Joy," one directly sees the truth of reality. Root verse: Thereafter, on the noble path of cultivation, at the end of the ten grounds' continuum, with the vajra-like samadhi, having destroyed the obscurations of knowledge, one manifests complete enlightenment. This means that after completing the path of seeing, on the noble path of cultivation, having attained the tenth ground, the cloud of dharma, and at the end of its continuum, through the power of attaining the vajra-like samadhi, having destroyed all obscurations of knowledge, one manifests complete enlightenment, which is reaching the state of Buddhahood. The detailed explanations of the recognition, classification, qualities, etc., from the first to the tenth ground, can be learned from the Great Commentary. Here, to avoid making the chapter seem empty, I will write a little. The first ground, without any prior or subsequent moment, can see a hundred Buddhas, attain a hundred samadhis, go to a hundred buddha-fields, guide a hundred sentient beings, enter the gate of Dharma, enter a hundred eons, manifest a hundred bodies, manifest a hundred bodhisattvas, etc., manifesting twelve hundred qualities. Similarly, the second ground manifests twelve thousand qualities, the third ground manifests twelve hundred thousand qualities, the fourth ground manifests twelve hundred million qualities, the fifth ground manifests twelve billion qualities, the sixth ground manifests twelve trillion qualities, the seventh ground manifests twelve ten trillion qualities, the eighth ground is equal to the number of dust particles in a million great thousand worlds, the ninth ground is equal to the number of ten thousand dust particles, and the tenth ground is equal to an inexpressible number, being able to see Buddhas, hear the Dharma, shake buddha-fields, illuminate light, go to those buddha-fields, ripen sentient beings, open the gate of Dharma, abide in samadhi, in a single moment
