Your actions will become the root of dependence. The Dharma you rely on, Will not only bring bad results, But its cause is also extremely bad. Like many snakes being put in a box. You think that for my future benefit, It can now be achieved through actions, Promising not to harm, Where do you expect to get happiness from? If you think harmlessness is Dharma, Then harmfulness is definitely not Dharma. Therefore, these two are contradictory, It is unreasonable for both to be Dharma. In good times and good places, Where is there no harm? It is growing, even in today's era, Staying here, oneself and others, Body and mind will not produce pain. This is as desirable as nectar, The reason for causing pain, What is it? You should say it. Benefit will attract benefit, Wealth will attract wealth, This has been proven in experience, But in other places it becomes the cause of unhappiness. What kind of behavior is the mind used to, Experience tells us that it will follow. Those who have the glory of happiness, Naturally, will not reduce unwholesomeness? Where there are harmful people such as killing, Will be sanctioned by the king's laws, etc., Will be condemned by oneself and others, How can you not see the quick happiness? Here, oneself and others, Live happily by not harming, When you can't see it, this reversal, What reason do you have to establish it? If harm is essentially Dharma, Then it is reasonable to offer to the gods with harm. If God is the master of all things, Then harming others, God will not be happy. If killing others to offer to God, God will be happy, Then why wouldn't God be happy to kill you? Just as for oneself, All other people cherish themselves like oneself, Killing them, oneself will be happy, What is the reason for this? Consciousness is not embodied, So no one can kill it anywhere. The body is abandoned in this world, Will not follow you elsewhere. Robbing wealth and robbing the body, The retribution is felt elsewhere, Even if there is their flesh and blood here, Or there are items that can be owned, If you consider carefully, through other means than your killing, Wanting to get retribution, The part of others feeling pain, Will become the cause of your happiness, From the same reason as others' happiness, One feels the retribution of happiness, Who can subvert the principle that retribution follows the cause? If others are in pain, oneself is happy, Then even if you make others happy, you will be in pain. If this is the case, then striving for benefit, Everything will become not Dharma but fault. Your gods and mentors also, Will bring you benefits, won't they? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Those actions, in every way, Will become the cause of suffering, not Dharma. You, claiming 'this is Dharma,' To benefit others, Even if that benefits them, It's still not Dharma, it's a fault. Through offering flesh and blood, Even if it pleases meat-eaters and such, Perhaps temporarily making friends, But tormented by the sting of a hundredfold ripening. In every way, You only inflict suffering on yourself and others. Even if you try, you can't escape sin, Wouldn't it be better to abandon such actions? If you think killing benefits others, Isn't that wanting your own happiness More than the cause of others' happiness? If killing certainly makes the killed happy, Then let others kill yourself. If you can't bear the suffering of being killed, How can others bear it? If you think happiness comes from the power of gods, In this world, who can, By their own will, accomplish everything, And be an eternal creator? It's impossible. Without compassion, only attached to their own benefit, How can killing Bring happiness? It's unbearable to contemplate. The virtuous falling into ruin, And the sinful living in ease, Is due to the karma of previous lives, The results of present actions will appear later. Even if you plant seeds in spring, It won't relieve hunger at that time, And those who have swallowed poison, May temporarily feel comfortable. Gods, nagas, yakshas, with great power, Even if they temporarily grant supreme happiness, They can't grant it without your own karma. If they could, why wouldn't they grant it to everyone? Therefore, with ignorant words, Deceiving those who, for health and happiness, Eat great poison, Abandon speaking of harming as Dharma. That which you have taken refuge in, That god who is your protector, Is he permanently liberated from all suffering, or Like you, will he fall again? If he is truly a permanent refuge, Who gave him fearlessness? Since things are impermanent by nature, And you see that they arise from conditions, All that arises is without autonomy. How does this one act autonomously, And what is the cause of being free from decay? Speak clearly, you who think you are right. If you hold onto your view with mere words, Without needing rational certainty, Then whatever it is, just hold onto it. What is the use of clinging to it? Since you don't know good reasons, If you exist with a body of craving, What use is your doctrine to you? Relying only on the effort to fill your belly, Like you are attached to me, Without abandoning self-grasping, which god Is pleased by offerings and displeased by not offering, And delights in harming, Killing others, delighting in flesh and blood, Without striving to benefit others? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
