If it comes to that, if the patrons give gold and silver, I will not accept it. Instead, I will think: 'For those without clothes, I will seek clothes; for those whose livelihood is cut off, I will seek food; for the sick, I will seek medicine.' After thinking about it clearly, I will entrust it to other lay practitioners or patrons to handle. Third, with the intention of building Buddha statues, writing scriptures, and making offerings to the Sangha, even if I, a practitioner, touch gold and silver belonging to the Three Jewels or used jointly by the Sangha, it will not constitute a transgression or a fall. Therefore, if it is offered to me, and I accept it with the intention of offering it to the Three Jewels and the Sangha, it will not be a transgression. For the sake of the Three Jewels and accumulating merit, if it is necessary to engage in commercial activities to obtain profit, one should not do it oneself, but should entrust it to other lay people. Fourth, regarding other aspects of abandoning and accepting, including abandoning sinful views in one's own mind, and respecting others, etc., there are two aspects. The first is: For example, the disciples of Nyeda, the practitioners Thorns and Offering, whichever Śrāmaṇera (novice monk) says: 'Enjoying the five desires hinders the attainment of heaven and liberation.' Regarding the words spoken by the fully enlightened Buddha, my understanding is not like that; it does not hinder. To someone who speaks like this, first admonish them with gentle words. If the admonishment is ineffective, use 'karma' to restrain them, telling them not to say such things again. If the restraint is ineffective and they continue to speak, deprive them of the possessions and necessities belonging to the Sangha, and then expel them from the monastery. After that, this practitioner should not be allowed to sleep in the same room as other practitioners, because they are different from all those who practice celibacy in conduct, utensils, and views, like a dead person. Just as a dead person has no merit, they are also like a dead person because they have lost the aspect of goodness. A renunciate should be disciplined and peaceful. If their behavior is improper, their body jumps and runs, their mind is not focused on virtue, they are frivolous and scattered, and they make sounds like a horse's neighing, etc., because they themselves are unstable and will eventually die. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

One should restrain oneself and not be distracted. If hiccups or belching occur, one must cover one's mouth with hands or clothes, etc., because it is neither beautiful nor elegant. Secondly, if elders in discipline or wisdom hiccup, one should say 'I pay homage with words' and prostrate. If younger ones hiccup, one should say 'May you be free from illness.' If a householder hiccups, one should say 'May you live long.' Furthermore, in the presence of teachers such as Khenpo (亲教师), Acharya (轨范师), and other virtuous Lamas (गुरु,guru,上师), and at places such as stupas, one should not spit, expectorate, or discard toothpicks. Even when discarding a toothpick, one should not throw it away directly, as it is a sign of disrespect and arrogance. If eating a toothpick, one should cover one's mouth with a sleeve. Similarly, one should not sit on a seat when the Lama is standing or walking. One should not walk back and forth meaninglessly in front of them. One should only wear the lower garment and not expose the upper garment, nor should one take off the upper garment. To wise and disciplined individuals, whether older, younger, or newly ordained, one should show respect with body and speech, and with a humble mind. Fourth, what to do after the afternoon: After washing one's hands, one should clean utensils such as water bottles and pottery, ensuring they are free from insects and dust. The water to be used in the morning should also be checked thoroughly as before, ensuring it is free from insects, etc., before taking it. If one has not been ordained for ten or five years, one is not allowed to reside without permission. The Buddha has said that monks (Gelong, 比丘) are not allowed to reside for even one night without a fixed abode. Therefore, one should not reside without permission from the Khenpo or other residence teacher. If the Khenpo is not present, one should request permission from a virtuous monk, or one who is skilled in the Dharma and Vinaya, and able to teach and discipline, in the place where one will reside. The Sangha's (僧伽) beds, cushions, chairs, etc., should not be used excessively. One should not sit without a cushion, and without mindfulness of impermanence, suffering, selflessness, and peace. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
