Like a vase. The general characteristic of that dharma: Whatever appears in the conceptual mind as the meaning of that dharma, but is not a real entity. Classification: Three types of sound and meaning that depend on both real and non-real entities. For example, like the appearance of bloating and staggering in the conceptual mind; like the appearance of the sky in the conceptual mind; like the appearance of knowable objects in the conceptual mind. The general characteristic of sound: Whatever appears as a name in the conceptual mind, but is not a real entity. For example, like the appearance of the sound "vase" in the conceptual mind. Regarding general and specific, single words and the affirmation and negation of compound words will be explained elsewhere. The characteristic of one: Any dharma that does not appear as different in the conceptual mind. The characteristic of many: Any dharma that appears as different in the conceptual mind. One is divided into substance-one and aspect-one. The characteristic of substance-one: Whatever appears to direct perception and does not appear as different. For example, like produced and impermanent. Substance-one is not completely pervasive. Aspect-one is like a vase and a vase. The characteristic of different: The dharma that is established as a basis, and the name of the object are understood as different. Classification: Two types, substance-different and aspect-different. The characteristic of substance-different: Whatever appears as different to direct perception. For example, like a pillar and a vase. Aspect-different is like produced and impermanent. The characteristic of exclusion and inclusion: Whatever is the object of that dharma, and all the dharmas that are coextensive with that dharma exist, but you do not make it an object. Classification: Two types of exclusion and inclusion, inverted and non-inverted. For example, the conceptual mind that grasps sound as permanent; and the wisdom that understands sound as impermanent. Or, exclusion and inclusion exist in the expressing sound, conceptual mind, and signs. The characteristic of establishing inclusion: Whatever is the object of that dharma, and all the dharmas that are coextensive with that dharma exist, you make it an object. Classification: Two types of establishing inclusion, mistaken consciousness and non-mistaken consciousness. For example, the sense consciousness of the appearance of two moons; and all the direct perceptions mentioned earlier. Or, the characteristic of the two is that it can be divided into parts and made an object, and divided into parts and not made an object. The characteristic of other-exclusion: The dharma that needs to be understood after the object of exclusion is limited by words. Classification: Two types, among which, the exclusion of non-affirmation is: Like being separated from a vase on a non-vase.

Son, from the perspective of non-affirming negation, the exclusion of others is divided into two types: the exclusion of others in terms of meaning and the exclusion of others in terms of mind. The first is like excluding from things that are not a vase. The second is like appearing in the mind as excluding from things that are not a vase. The definition of a definition: possessing three elements of meaning, dharma, and thing. The definition of a non-definition: not possessing three elements of meaning, dharma, and thing. The definition of what is to be defined: possessing three elements of name, dharma, and thing. The definition of what is not to be defined: not possessing three elements of name, dharma, and thing. Alternatively, the definition and the definition of what is to be defined can also be said to possess the three elements of an existent entity and the three elements of an establisher, as well as possessing the three elements of a subject and the three elements of what is to be established. The definition of a basis: that which becomes the basis for the definition to define what is to be defined. The faults of a definition can be divided into three: the fault of a definition that is not pervasive, the fault of a definition that is over-pervasive, and the fault of a definition that does not exist on the basis. Examples in order: In the definition of a cow, if one establishes that it has mixed hair and so on, then having mixed hair and so on does not pervade cows; in the definition of a cow, if one establishes that it has a head, then having a head is over-pervasive of cows; when a horse is considered a cow, if one establishes that it has mixed hair and so on, then having mixed hair and so on does not exist on a horse. Alternatively, a seeming definition can be divided into three: the self-reverse entity is not established as a thing, the meaning-reverse entity changes into another, and the definition does not exist on the basis. Examples in order: In the definition of a cow, one establishes a cow; in the definition of a horse, one establishes that it has mixed hair and so on. A seeming object to be defined can be divided into three: the self-reverse entity is not established as a name, the name changes into another, and the name does not exist on the basis. In a seeming definition, there are two types: the definition does not depend and the object to be defined does not depend. In short, although it is said that each of the eight seeming phenomena has two, totaling thirty-two, there is not much contradiction. The definition of a substance: the form that is able to accomplish the needs of a person, such as form. The definition of a substance-dharma: the quality of form that has become the nature of a substance, such as the impermanence of form. The definition of a reverse entity: any dharma that appears in the mind as excluding from dissimilar types, is not a thing, such as permanence appearing as form. The definition of a reverse-dharma: in the mind, it is a quality of a substance.
