This is for the sake of establishing the tenets. Therefore, I think that most of what the Blessed One said about not being reborn into other realms after attaining the fruit is with a specific intention, so I make this analysis. The special fruit of the non-returner has been described. Next, what is it to abide in the fruit of the Arhat? It refers to the Hinayana practitioner who has completely abandoned the ninth level of afflictions of the peak of existence. In the Compendium of Categories, it says: "What is an Arhat? It refers to the person who abides on the path of abandoning the ninth aspect of the afflictions of the peak of existence." Here, the entry into the fruit of Arhat is not explained because it has already been described in the special fruit of the non-returner. That Arhat can also be divided into two types from the perspective of what is to be abandoned and what has been abandoned: liberation through wisdom and liberation in both aspects. From the perspective of falling away and not falling away from dwelling in bliss in this life, it can be divided into six types: falling away, thinking of death, guarding, abiding without moving, being capable, and being of indestructible nature. From the difference in faculties, it can also be divided into two types of Arhat: liberation in time and liberation out of time. Among them, the one who cannot enter into the eight liberations is called liberation through wisdom, because with the wisdom of realizing selflessness, one can only be liberated from the obscurations of afflictions, but the obscurations of meditative absorption have not been abandoned. The one who can enter into the eight liberations is called liberation in both aspects, because one has been liberated from both the obscurations of afflictions and the obscurations of meditative absorption. Thus, in the Compendium of Categories, it also says: "What is liberation through wisdom? It refers to the one who has exhausted outflows, but is not a meditator in the eight liberations. What is liberation in both aspects? It refers to the person who has exhausted outflows and is also a meditator in the eight liberations." The Treasury of Knowledge also says the same thing: "The one who is liberated from both attainments of cessation is liberated in both aspects, while the other is liberated through wisdom." Thus it is proclaimed. Therefore, for the wise, the names of these two Arhats are called in this way, but in any case, using "liberation solely from the aspect of wisdom" as a term, for us who are proficient in Prajnaparamita and some ancient scholars, the meaning of these is...

Needless to say understanding, there is not even a name to mention, this is clearly declared. Such an Arhat who has abandoned wisdom is extremely rare. It is not by the power of wisdom and samadhi that one is liberated from both the afflictions and the obscurations of absorption, but merely by wisdom from a portion of the afflictions, yet they boast of being "liberated by wisdom." If those who consider themselves wise were to use a metaphor, alas! The interpreters of the King's scriptures have become like this! What is a Dharma of Degeneration? Here, the first five Arhats are no different in terms of dull faculties. However, relying on worldly meditative samadhi, the characteristics become different from the perspective of degeneration and non-degeneration, due to the cause of being comfortable in body and mind in this life. For example, an Arhat with dull faculties, whether or not deluded by desire, will certainly degenerate from meditation; whether or not deluded by desire, if they do not commit suicide, they will certainly degenerate, but if they commit suicide, they will never degenerate; if they guard their mind against desire, they will not degenerate, but if they do not guard it especially, they will degenerate; whether or not they guard against desire, they will not degenerate, and it is impossible for the faculties to change from dull to sharp; those who are incapable of degeneration and have the potential to transform their faculties are, in order, from the Dharma of Degeneration to the Dharma of Being Suitable for Realization. In the Compendium of Topics, it says: What is the Dharma of Degeneration? It is one who has dull faculties, whether or not deluded, who has the potential to completely degenerate from dwelling comfortably in the visible Dharma. What is the Dharma of Suicide? It is one who has dull faculties, whether or not deluded, who, if they do not commit suicide, has the potential to completely degenerate from dwelling comfortably in the visible Dharma, but if they commit suicide, they do not have this potential. What is the Dharma of Subsequent Guarding? It is one who has dull faculties, who, if deluded, has the potential to degenerate from dwelling comfortably in the visible Dharma, but if not deluded, does not have this potential. What is the One Who Does Not Move From Dwelling? It is one who has dull faculties, whether or not deluded, who does not have the potential to completely degenerate from dwelling comfortably in the visible Dharma, nor does he have the potential to tame the faculties. What is the One Who Is Suitable for Thorough Realization? It is one who has dull faculties,
