The two. Since there is no increase of various virtues, the side that is not suitable for restoring the Dharma of lineage is doubt. The conduct of the three doors enters entirely for the benefit of others, possessing loving physical actions, etc. The irreversible great Bodhisattva has no doubts or hesitation about the profound Dharma, possessing loving physical actions, speech actions, and loving mental actions. Thus it is said. Because of diligence in the three trainings, possessing perfect application, the obstacles to the aggregate of discipline are the desire for desirable qualities and the obstacle of harmful thoughts of hatred towards others, the two; the obstacles to the aggregate of wisdom are sleep that gathers the mind to an object and the obstacle of drowsiness that makes the mind unsuitable, one; the obstacles to the aggregate of concentration are restlessness that is not pacified towards a desirable object and the obstacle of remorse that remembers disturbing appearances, one; the obstacle of doubt towards the truth, that is, these five obstacles that are the cause of not understanding the direction do not associate with it, the irreversible great Bodhisattva, like this, does not coexist with the five obstacles of desire for lust and harmful thoughts and drowsiness and sleep and restlessness and remorse and doubt. Thus it is said. These five obstacles exist in the desire realm, sleep and drowsiness, restlessness and remorse are in pairs, but they are combined into one because they are incompatible or the antidotes and food and actions are the same, so it is said that way. The antidote to the first two is the perception of light. There are five foods, namely dissatisfaction, displeasure, laziness in action, insufficient warmth of food, and discouragement. The action is that both cause the mind to be discouraged inwardly. The antidote to the latter two is calm abiding. The food is the undying conceptual thoughts of the realm of relatives, and the remembrance of past playfulness, restlessness, joy, enjoyment, etc. The action is that both cause the mind to be unpacified. It is also said: If desire, then the obstacles are incompatible, because food and action are the same, the two together harm the aggregate, because of doubt, it is five. Thus it is said. The antidote to afflictions is meditating on emptiness, thereby all the latent tendencies of ignorance and the five views are destroyed through the means of disparagement, is.

Furthermore, the great Bodhisattva of non-retrogression is devoid of all habitual tendencies. Here, the *Nyi Snang* states that being free from all habitual tendencies refers to ignorance and views, not the habitual tendencies of desire and craving. Because, as stated in the sutra, Bodhisattvas take birth intentionally. As stated in the *Adornment Sutra*, its meaning has already been extensively explained in the Wisdom of the Path. Always maintaining equanimity in all four modes of conduct, that is, with the mind not being distracted, and possessing mindfulness and awareness in conduct. As it says: "Walking, standing, sleeping, and sitting, one is fully endowed with awareness. Not looking beyond the yoke's length, and the mind is not confused while walking." Possessing the practice of inner and outer cleanliness, and being free from illness, the enjoyment of robes and so forth is pure and without fault. As it says: "Holding pure conduct, wearing pure clothes." Pure conduct means abandoning the ten non-virtuous actions or practicing inner and outer cleanliness; pure clothes refer to Dharma robes and so on that are free from dirt. The second is the sign of the peak. The peak and so on are indicated by six signs. Where are these signs? Having attained the superiority of virtuous roots over all mundane warmth and below, therefore, eighty thousand kinds of worms do not arise in the body. As it says: "Those virtuous roots of the great Bodhisattva are superior to all the world, therefore, those eighty thousand kinds of worms do not exist in the body of that great Bodhisattva." With pure higher intention, the roots of virtue are completely pure, the mind is without deceit, and it transcends the minds of Hearers and Solitary Realizers. As it says: "How the virtuous roots of the great Bodhisattva increase, in that way, those virtuous roots make the body not straight, speech not straight, and the mind not straight. The deceit of body, speech, and mind is completely purified." Not looking to material gains, cherished respect, and so on for fame, thereby truly taking up the twelve qualities of asceticism, such as wearing robes made of rags. As it says: "He truly takes up and practices the twelve qualities of asceticism." By practicing the extraordinary six perfections, such as generosity, the opposing and discordant factors of stinginess and immoral conduct are not
