Divided into two parts. How does one define "with outflows" and so on? Furthermore, not only is the nature of the path of meditation to be explained, but also its divisions are to be enumerated. What is the meaning of "with outflows" and "without outflows"? It is not to be taken that "with outflows" and "without outflows" are spoken of in terms of the wisdom of the path and the wisdom of the basis, because there would be faults even in the case of that which is without outflows. Therefore, it is held that the subsequent attainment is with the conceptual thought of dualistic appearance, and the equipoise is without it. As it says in the Clear Words: "The distinction between that which is with outflows and that which is without outflows is primarily that which is associated with conceptual thought and that which is separated from it." The meaning summarized here is that aspiration, dedication, rejoicing, and attention are the objects of the wisdom of the subsequent state in the state of the pure worldling. Manifest realization is the wisdom of equipoise. Thus it is. That conceptual thought is also the cause of outflows, therefore it is explained that it is established there. Secondly, there are two: the path of meditation with outflows and without outflows. The first has three parts: showing the divisions and making the connection; explaining the individual characteristics of the divisions; and summarizing the meaning from the perspective of the function. The first has two parts: the actual and the showing of the boundary. The first is: because there are two, with outflows and without outflows, therefore the path of meditation with outflows is explained in order of inferior and superior. Among them, there are also aspiration, dedication, rejoicing, and attention, which are called the three attentions. The reason for dividing in this way is that it accumulates roots of virtue, and is inexhaustible and increasing. The Prajñā Origin considers that it is divided by the three divisions of application, actual, and subsequent. These three are different entities, because they are divided by different ways of holding. The second is: Kumārajīva said: Aspiration is included in the second, third, and fourth grounds. Dedication is included in the fifth, sixth, and seventh grounds. Rejoicing is included in the eighth and ninth grounds. As it is, and in the Intent of the Thubpa: Among them, the three heats, as they are in order, are the nature of small, medium, and large aspiration, and again by the divisions of small of small, etc., the nine aspirations are by their own meaning. As it is, and the three peaks, such a nature, such nine aspirations are by the meaning of self and other. As it is, and the three patiences, such a nature, such nine aspirations are by the meaning of others.

arise, generate joy and dedication to the Three Jewels, and establish six functions. Among them, the first is unreasonable because there is no reason to establish such a claim, and dedication and joy exist from the second ground onwards, while aspiration exists above the fifth ground, without any harm. The second is also unreasonable because the noble ones explain the uninterrupted yoga of aspiration for the benefit of others, but this contradicts the path of application. Furthermore, the function is also considered by the noble ones' intention to be the function of both the path of meditation, and the path of meditation is considered to be the noble path itself, and not considered to be the ground of ordinary beings, because no noble one or teacher has ever used the term "path of meditation" for it. In the extensive commentary on the Heart Sutra, it also says: "Practice has many forms, and on the path of application on the ground of ordinary beings, it is the practice of aspiration." Among them, the practice of aspiration has three forms: self-benefit, benefit of others, and benefit of both self and others. Each of these has small and other distinctions, divided into nine each, so there are twenty-seven aspirations. This explanation also contradicts what the venerable one said about aspiration and other things being the path of meditation, and what was said in the stages of vision and generation. Therefore, our own system is: In the Clear Words, it says: "Some say that here, self-benefit is up to the distant ground. From the immovable ground onwards, it is the benefit of others, so that for him, from dwelling in peace for self-benefit, only for the benefit of others, the Buddhas who have attained complete enlightenment urge him again. The tenth ground is the benefit of both self and others, and dwelling on this ground is shown to be a Buddha for this reason." It is reasonable as stated by a certain pandita. However, from this, it is clear that establishing the benefit of others on the eighth ground and the benefit of both on the tenth ground is a translation error or an incorrect text, which can be known through those reasons. Therefore, reversing it, the benefit of both is established on the eighth and ninth grounds, and the benefit of others is established on the tenth ground. The first reason is: In the Ornament of Realization, it says: "Because the seeds of pride in self are not exhausted, only in the first is the aspiration for self-benefit shown in nine ways." It arises, and up to the seventh ground, afflictive emotions exist, so it is established there. Dedication and joy are both established on all nine grounds. The second has three: aspiration, dedication, and joy. The first has two: the actual and the benefit. The actual
