Etc., these were brought forth by Kulanta, which is very good. If that is the case, then the statement in the scriptures, "desire realm etc.," is incorrect. In the Ornament of Manifestation, the word "etc." is added to all things, and below, the masses do not have the word "etc.," so the occurrence of the word "etc." there is not incorrect. Second, how are these contemplated? Just as it was said before, all these dharmas, in the order in which they are spoken, are contemplated in the order of realization. How is that? First, a Bodhisattva will have the thought: What is to be taken, what is to be abandoned, and what is to be left indifferent by me? In relation to that, first are these three. Then, taking what is to be taken, one will think about it: What is to be taken first, and what is to be taken later? Then one thinks of the worldly path and the path beyond the world. Then, one thinks: What is to be abandoned and what is the nature of the latter? Then one thinks of the defiled and the undefiled. Or, one thinks that the first is defiled, so what is to be taken is only temporary; the second is undefiled, so what is to be taken is permanent. Then, one thinks: What is the object of that undefiled? Then one thinks of the conditioned conventional truth and the unconditioned ultimate truth. Then, setting aside the conditioned, one meditates on the result of contemplating the unconditioned, dividing it into the common and the uncommon. Although there is a result from contemplating the conditioned, the result is not shown because the noble ones are completely distinguished by the unconditioned. Its meaning is that the three noble ones are established in order according to the realization of a part, most, and all of the emptiness of the unconditioned. In the Clear Words, regarding the meaning of contemplating in the order of realization, two views are stated: the first view is that one contemplates with attachment at first and without attachment later; the other view is that one contemplates virtue at first and power at the end, which is for that meaning. The latter view is the view of the teacher. These are arranged according to the view of the Ornament of Manifestation as accepted by the ancient wise ones. The third part has three aspects, the first aspect is: For the Bodhisattva to realize such an object, what is the basis of practice? To show this, the purpose will be explained. The connection of the sutra is: Previously, the reason for the appearance of the word "Great Bodhi" was asked, and this was said as an answer. That is also in the chapter on lineage.

Bodhisattva, here the meaning of the word "Great Bodhisattva" is explained in terms of both diminishing and destroying. So. The answer is that the Blessed One, Shariputra, and Subhuti explained the reason for using the term "Great Bodhisattva," and in order they spoke of three "Greats." Whoever spoke of that reason explained the first two accomplishments. The second is: It should be known. Where will it arise from itself, so it is self-arising, that is, for the sake of what Bodhisattvas do. Where is that which is to be diligently sought, the place where the desire for perfect and complete enlightenment arises, that is, the supreme essence of all sentient beings. What is that like? It is to be accomplished through the three "Greats." What are the three "Greats"? They are mind, renunciation, and realization. Among these, the Great Mind is like the Vajra and so on. The Great Renunciation is: teaching the Dharma for the sake of abandoning all views. The Great Realization is: not being attached to the Bodhicitta and so on, this is the view of Moon Light and the Possessor of Purity. In this way, the Bodhisattva does through the three "Greats," and then regards the supreme Great Self as the Buddha. The third is: It should be known that what is to be done is of three kinds. The reason for dividing into three is: because it possesses the three "Greats." For whom is it done? For those Bodhisattvas themselves who, in all stages of the path, appear there through fully understanding the means of obtaining omniscience, and are named Self-Arising Buddhas. Bodhisattva, considering the attainment of the qualities of the Buddha, therefore speaks of both the Buddha and that as self-arising. By saying "in all aspects," for the Hearers and so on, they have the non-discriminating mind that goes in all aspects, and the abandonment of afflictions together with habitual tendencies, and because they are limited by time and place, and do not understand subtle things, they do not have the three "Greats," this is their view, as explained in reality. The reason for doing it for them is to obtain the mind of the essence of the supreme nature of all aggregates of sentient beings and all great groups of sentient beings, and the Great Renunciation of abandoning everything from the view of self to the view of turning the wheel of Dharma, and the Great Realization of realizing all forms of suchness and suchness.
