It is. It should be practiced in this way. What should be said is the path of meditation. The reason is that the Mahayana path of meditation is practiced as the antidote to the objects of abandonment of meditation, and it is shown in this way. If so, if the two paths of seeing and meditation need to be practiced as antidotes to the two different objects of abandonment, then is there also a difference in the realization of the nature of the two? Answer: Establishing the nature of the path of meditation that does not conform to the way of realizing the nature of the path of seeing is an unfounded fabrication. That is, the path of seeing and the path of meditation are not different in the way of realizing the nature, that is, there is no difference. That is, as mentioned earlier, the object manifested by the path of seeing, that is, the only nature that is not different from the nature, is the only nature that is focused on, and the path of meditation is only familiar with it. For example, the truth of the path of conditioned phenomena and the truth of the cessation of unconditioned phenomena are the same in nature, that is, because they are not different, they cannot be established as different without relying on each other. This is a consistent metaphor for the previous pervasion. Also, this metaphor is mentioned in the sutra: "Rapi, without the realm of conditioned phenomena, it is impossible to establish the realm of unconditioned phenomena; without the realm of unconditioned phenomena, it is also impossible to establish the realm of conditioned phenomena." Having said this, it should be combined with the reason why the path of meditation is shown through the door of metaphor, such as the path of conditioned phenomena and the abandonment of unconditioned phenomena are the same in nature, that is, because they are not different, they cannot be established separately without relying on each other. Similarly, the path of meditation is also established on the familiarity of what is seen by the path of seeing. It is said that it cannot be established outside of it. If so, there is no difference in abandonment, because there is no difference in realization? Answer: Although there is no difference in the realization of the nature, the path of seeing cannot abandon the abandonment of meditation, but the path of meditation can abandon it, because it is established by the nature of dependent origination. For example, although the water before and after is no different, the former cannot purify, but the latter can purify. If you ask the reason for being able to do so, it is said that it is the nature of things. Here, Serlingpa said that the form of conditioned contaminated phenomena, etc., and the unconditioned uncontaminated

The explanation regarding discipline and so on is: It is not seen that the noble one said, "Conditioned is the path, unconditioned is abandonment," because this teacher quoted the view of the Sunlight Treatise. Thus, the noble one said that there is no difference between the path of seeing and the path of meditation in realizing the nature of reality, and the teacher followed this by saying that there is no difference in the realization of these two. In short, the teacher and the noble one believe that there is no difference in the way of realizing the samadhi of the ten grounds. Third, why is the object of instruction of the pith instructions fixed at ten? Because only these ten can completely fulfill all the intentions of a person to attain Buddhahood, therefore the object of instruction of the pith instructions is fixed at ten. How is that? In general, in order to achieve temporary and ultimate benefits, there are four definite elements: the nature of the practice itself, the goal, the basis, and the cause of the practice. If done according to the method described earlier, the mind of enlightenment and all the virtuous dharmas generated by that mind, their nature is complete, therefore one should study the Prajnaparamita. So, when realizing this meaning, what is the manner of the practice? The manner of practice is shown through the method of not clinging to the two selves. Then, what is the goal of the practice? It is the noble ones, etc. Then, what is the basis of the practice? It is refuge, etc. In terms of cause, there are two types. From the aspect of the cause of eliminating obstacles, there are three types: To eliminate attachment to bad deeds and laziness, there are special practices, etc. To eliminate turning away from the path due to laziness, there is non-regression, etc. To eliminate discouragement, despising oneself, and entering the Hinayana, there is entering other vehicles, etc. In terms of accomplishing favorable conditions, there are three types: Because one knows what to accept and reject, there are others, etc. In each stage of accomplishing enlightenment, it is grasped by direct perception, so the accumulations are effortlessly completed, this is omniscience, etc. The ultimate abandonment of what is to be abandoned by seeing, that is, the cause of completely abandoning is the path of seeing, and the ultimate abandonment of what is to be abandoned by meditation, that is, the cause of completely abandoning is the path of meditation, and all of these are explained in the context of the pith instructions. Some say that the practice that transcends the world and does not transcend the world is the ultimate cause. The second part has two aspects: the symbolic metaphor and the actual Sangha that is symbolized. The first
