Since it must also be considered clearer than 'Va' and to have direct realization superior to the other three, how could the noble Asanga be mistaken about that? It is also not the view of the Vimuktisena. As it says in the 'Sunlight': 'Because all direct realizations are summarized by the all-knowingness, the path-knowingness, and the all-aspect-knowingness, just as the order of the Hearers, Solitary Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, and Buddhas.' And it says, 'Approaching direct realization,' so it is not desired to realize only the general meaning, because it would be too much even for a moment. Therefore, the basis of error here is that when the Noble One enumerated the eight topics, he did not attach the word 'direct realization' to the first three and the last, but only to the middle four. In the 'Perfected,' it says, 'The first seven are said to be direct realizations, and the eighth is the result of direct realization, so it is called 'that'.' This view is also unreasonable, because if that were the case, it would be the same for all-knowingness, and it would be a fault that Buddhas do not have direct realization. Therefore, in the 'Condensed Meaning Lamp,' it says, 'Direct realization is the order of the stream of knowledge, the eight topics are the objects to be expressed, and the occasion is said by the speaker Shantipa.' Although it is not clearly stated in the texts of Shantipa, it should be considered in the same way. The third has two parts: stating the assertion and showing its validity. The first has three parts: refutation, following Dignaga and Dharmakirti, and other systems. The first is: In the 'Three Mothers Destroyer,' it says, 'The so-called Prajnaparamita, in the ultimate sense, is because it has gone beyond aspiration, diligence, affliction, action, suffering, samsara, discrimination, qualities, objects of knowledge, and these nine aspects. Therefore, the non-discriminating wisdom that transcends the world, summarized by the vajra-like samadhi, is called Prajnaparamita. Then, the wisdom that is obtained after that, with and without discrimination, like a mirror, equality, individual discrimination, and the wisdom that accomplishes actions, are also called Prajnaparamita because they arise from its cause, so the result is established as the cause.' It says that there are also Hearers and Solitary Realizers, etc.

The wisdoms of the victorious Buddhas are the fruit of Prajñāpāramitā, and the scriptures are the cause of Prajñāpāramitā, therefore they are named by the names of cause and fruit. All the realizations of Bodhisattvas from aspiration to the cloud of Dharma are also said to be merely designated as Prajñāpāramitā. The 'Destruction of Harm' in the Hundred Thousand Verses also explains it as such. The 'Manual of Following' also explains it in accordance with the two 'Destructions of Harm'. Here, some of the former ones mistakenly take the Vajra-like Samādhi as the wisdom of the actual continuous end of Prajñāpāramitā, which is not the intention. After explaining the actual and imputed Prajñāpāramitā, the two 'Destructions of Harm' and the 'Manual of Following' say: Thus, among these that are called 'Prajñāpāramitā', here it refers to the wisdom belonging to the Buddha's realm, the non-conceptual that transcends the world, which is called Prajñāpāramitā. In particular, the latter says: The non-conceptual that transcends the world, the wisdom of the Tathāgatas perfectly gathered by the Vajra-like Samādhi, is called Prajñāpāramitā. In other sections of the 'Destruction of Harm', it also explains that the Vajra-Samādhi is the wisdom of omniscience, and that the realizations below the tenth Bhūmi are imputed. Therefore, the intention here is: When explaining emptiness, it is said that the Buddha's Vajra-Samādhi does not perceive any object, therefore in the Buddha's realm, the Samādhi Vajra-Samādhi in equipoise is without appearance, and the subsequent attainment is with appearance. Among these two, the latter's four wisdoms of conceptual and non-conceptual are the imputed Prajñāpāramitā, while the former is considered to be the characteristic. Secondly, in the 'Light Commentary on the Ornament', it says: The non-dual wisdom of the Bhagavan Buddha, like illusion, is real, and because of obtaining it and being in accordance with it, the scriptures of collections of words and speech, and the paths with characteristics such as seeing, are also called Prajñāpāramitā, which is imputed. As the venerable teacher Dignāga said: Prajñāpāramitā is non-dual, that wisdom is the Tathāgata, because it possesses the meaning to be accomplished, therefore the scriptures and paths are also called by that name.
