If one needs to abandon one, then it is impossible for a stream-enterer. Because he has abandoned one to five kinds of cultivation-abandonments, but the main part of what is to be abandoned is the view-abandonment, and this cannot be completely abandoned before the path of seeing, because there is also the view-abandonment of the peak of existence. Through this reasoning, it should also be understood that an Arhat is impossible. Therefore, in the previously mentioned connection of the Sangha of the transcendent ones, it is usually established that those who are free from desire from karma and desire must enter, just like that, because the middle two are mentioned and the stream-enterer is not mentioned, so at that time, saying stream-enterer refers to the two who have previously abandoned desire, and the two who have entered the stream-enterer, the realization is the same, and the three fruitions are also the same at the time of the first attainment and the attainment of the sixteenth moment, it should be understood that it is said incidentally considering this. Similarly, in the Compendium, when the stream-enterer is mentioned in the case of the transcendent ones, it is also because one wants to examine the situation where the fruition is obtained simultaneously at the sixteenth moment, not because it is a transcendent one. The second is, it is established in all eight samadhis. The third is, in the root commentary of the Compendium, it is said that a stream-enterer and an Arhat can be established as two fruitions, and if the first entrant and the Arhat entrant are also counted, then it seems that it is only possible to combine them. The reason why the middle two fruitions are impossible is that because the cultivation-abandonments of the upper realms have been abandoned, it is impossible to return, and this (referring to the transcendent one) will simultaneously abandon all the cultivation-abandonments of the three realms. Similarly, a once-returner is also impossible, because if the ninth grade of the desire realm is abandoned, then the ninth grade of the peak of existence will also be abandoned, thus becoming an Arhat. Some say that like a solitary rhinoceros is an instant one, which is very unreasonable. If that is the case, then one must admit an ordinary being who is free from desire from the three realms, because like a solitary rhinoceros, when generating the path of application, it is generated based on the fourth dhyana, and if one obtains the essence of dhyana, then one must also abandon the ninth grade of the desire realm, therefore one must abandon the ninth grade of the three realms. Therefore, it is possible for an instant one to later become a solitary rhinoceros, but if it is like a solitary rhinoceros, then it is definitely contradictory to being an instant one. The fourth has three aspects: through which path are those fruitions, at what time, and in what place

It is obtained by relying on this. First, if the first and last two fruits are the path to actually obtain, then it pervades the transcendent path. In order, the path is the antidote of the follow-up forbearance and the peak of existence, which is the smallest of the small. For the two middle fruits, if it is a state of sudden transcendence, then the actual attainment of these two is the transcendent path, because the path is the follow-up forbearance. If it is gradual, then both the worldly path and the transcendental path can be obtained. After obtaining the sixteenth, if the undefiled path cuts off the sixth and ninth, then the actual attainment is the transcendent path. If these two are cut off by the aspect of tranquility and fierceness, then the worldly path actually obtains these two fruits, because the abandonment of desire realm cultivation can be cut off by both paths. The attainment of the worldly path is also like this. The self-commentary says: The fruit of returning once is gradually obtained, and if it is obtained by the worldly path, then it is obtained by the five such as faith, equanimity, the root of mind, and the seven roots. However, if it is obtained by the transcendental path, then it is obtained by the eight roots, and the eighth is the root of universal knowledge. Therefore, if it is gradual, then it is necessary to abandon what is to be abandoned by the undefiled path, which is not carefully examined. Second, the two fruits of entering the stream and sudden transcendence pervade the simultaneous attainment of the sixteenth. That is, before the path of seeing, if one of the sixth or ninth of the abandonment of desire realm cultivation is definitely abandoned, then simultaneously with obtaining the sixteenth, one obtains the once-returning and non-returning. If the sixth is not abandoned, then even if the five or less are abandoned, only the fruit of entering the stream is obtained for the sixteenth. Therefore, these two of sudden transcendence, once-returning and non-returning, in order, because the entering the stream and once-returning are not abandoned in advance, each is the first fruit. The self-commentary says: If it is for the sake of obtaining the first fruit, then mostly it is to be separated from desire and attachment, and it will also become separated from desire and attachment. The two gradual middle fruits pervade the manifestation after obtaining the sixteenth, that is, in order.
