It is the method of understanding. In short, just as saying "I" and "mine," although it seems that there is a distinction between that and that, just as non-distinction is the ultimate meaning, showing that all dharmas are established by their own nature, although it seems like the Buddha's intention, but dharmas are not like that, this is the definite meaning. The way in which the establishment of terms is in accordance with the world is also as stated in the verses of the Eastern Mountain School: If the world's guides do not conform to the world, then what is the Buddha's Dharma nature, and no one will know the Buddha. Aggregates and realms, and sources, consider their nature to be one, and declare these three realms, this is conforming to the world. Dharmas without names, because they are inconceivable, therefore use names to fully explain to sentient beings, this is conforming to the world. Showing non-existence and abiding in the Buddha-nature, there is no non-existence here, this is conforming to the world. Not observing meaning and meaninglessness, cessation and supreme meaning, speaking the best of speakers, this is conforming to the world. Without destruction and without birth, equal to the Dharmadhatu, yet showing the kalpa of burning, this is conforming to the world. In the three times, it is not the object of sentient beings' own nature, but it also shows the realm of sentient beings, this is conforming to the world. As it is widely said. The last verse of these verses shows the selflessness of the person who has no self-nature of sentient beings, and the rest shows the selflessness of the Dharma that has no self-nature of real and unreal dharmas. The Eastern Mountain School gradually separated from the Mahasanghika, as stated in the Light of Reasoning, therefore, in the Vinaya Pitaka of the Shravakas, there seems to be a part that very clearly shows the selflessness of Dharma. Second, specifically refuting the view of the Mind-Only School, divided into three points: refuting the establishment of the self-nature of consciousness without external objects; refuting the valid means of establishing the self-nature of other-dependence; explaining that the word "only" in Mind-Only is not to prevent external objects. The first point is divided into two points: the views of other schools.

Establishing the Doctrine and Refuting That Doctrine. First, those who interpret the meaning through the door of establishing the doctrine, unable to bear the tenets of the Mind-Only Madhyamaka school as stated, and because it is not the intention of the Victorious Ones, in order to clearly explain the reasoning of their own school, first state the previous topic. The bodhisattva who abides in the perfection of wisdom, that is, dwells in it and cultivates it, the bodhisattva of the sixth ground, by what reasoning does he realize and see and understand the suchness without inversion, and without further clinging to the reality of the difference between the grasper and the grasped? That is, realizing that suchness, that is, realizing that suchness is only in the nature of consciousness, thus distinguishing it. Moreover, because there is no external object, the mind and mental events also understand that they are merely dependent arising things, and that external objects such as form are meaningless, therefore it is called realizing suchness only in the nature of consciousness. Furthermore, how does this bodhisattva realize that suchness in that way? That is, by what reasoning does this bodhisattva say that form and so on arise from the ripening of inner habitual tendencies? Therefore, in the mind, one does not see the grasped object of a different substance from oneself, nor does one see that the object that grasps it is different from it, and by thoroughly understanding that the three realms of existence are only the nature of consciousness, and even by practicing the suchness of the two emptinesses for a long time, and by that practice, one also directly sees with self-awareness the thing that cannot be expressed by words as thatness, that is, only the nature of the two emptinesses. Therefore, by the order of previous practice, this sixth ground person realizes that suchness only in the nature of consciousness. If these are only of the nature of Mind-Only without external objects, then how does the nature of mind that is the form of that arise here without external objects? The answer is, for example, the great ocean that is the basis of waves, stirred by the wind, that is, shaken by everything, like water waves competing to obtain their own bodies from the immobility of the past like sleep, thus understanding, just like that, the seed of all internal and external things, the alaya consciousness.
