Because extremely small particles, as well as subtle particles arising from dependent origination, etc., are all established as arising from their own nature. It pervades everything. If there exists arising from its own nature, then before understanding the ultimate truth of the Dharma, and after newly understanding it, at the time of the path of seeing, it is necessary to separately examine the different forms of impermanence and other ultimate truths. Or rather, those who assert the existence of real entities have not truly seen the meaning of dependent origination. The second is to refute the real existence of cessation and to establish cessation as illusory. The first is, the six afflictions, etc. In the doctrine of those who assert the existence of real entities, it is reasonable for samsara to have an initial creator. Because before the exhaustion of afflictions, the nirvana of the self-characterized continuum of samsara being cut off is reasonable. If it is admitted, then it is reasonable there. If that exists, then the Buddha has not spoken in accordance with reason, because that person will certainly become a heretic who slanders the cause. Because he admits that samsara has an initial beginning. Second, briefly explain from the perspective of metaphor and meaning, and explain in detail. The first is, dependence, etc., six. Samsara, you do not have the nature of the prior and later limits established by your own nature, because it is dependent origination. That Dharma is constant, because it is born of its own nature. It pervades everything. If what is born earlier is established by its own nature, then it cannot be changed later. For the latter, it is reasonable that all of samsara and nirvana appear but are without self-nature, and are the same as illusion. Because it abides in being separated from the self-nature of the prior and later limits. Second, explanation of the metaphor, explanation of the meaning. The first is, any, etc., four. Illusionists, they will not be attached to the illusionary horses and cows as real horses and cows, nor will they be confused about their prior and later limits, because they know that those are only produced by being deluded by causes such as mantras and medicines. Those viewers of illusions will be confused about the prior and later limits of the illusionary horses and cows, because they are attached to those horses and cows as real. The second is, existence, etc., eight. Those realized noble ones will not be defiled by the extremist views of clinging to the speculation of the prior and later limits, because they directly see that all beings are like mirages and illusions, without self-nature.

Because of seeing (emptiness). The following four points are: Those schools of the Shravakas, have the property, do not understand the cycle of the twelve links of dependent origination, just as the cycle of the past and future limits is not established by nature, because they believe that all conditioned phenomena arise and cease with their own nature. In terms of establishing the basis: showing that conditioned phenomena are empty of nature, and how to explain this to others, establishing this as the Buddha's intention, and incidentally showing the differences in views. The first aspect: refuting that arising and ceasing are established by nature, the necessity of speaking of arising and ceasing, and the necessity of determining this meaning. The first aspect has detailed explanations and summaries of meaning. The first aspect has refuting arising and refuting ceasing. The first aspect is: those four points, conditioned phenomena, etc., have the property, are not born as the nature of their own essence, because they arise depending on this and that cause. If admitted, then there is no arising by nature, because it is not established as the nature of one's own essence and the essence of others. The second aspect is: the four points of cause, etc., the destruction of conditioned phenomena, etc., is not established by nature, because the destruction of conditioned phenomena, etc., arises from the exhaustion of the causes of conditioned phenomena, etc. The destruction of conditioned phenomena, etc., is not established by nature, because one's own essence is not established as the nature of the essence of others. The summary meaning is: those two points, neither arising nor ceasing are established by nature, because both of them arise depending on causes. The second aspect is: the six points of arising, etc., although arising and ceasing have no nature, there is a need to speak of arising and ceasing in the sutras, because arising and ceasing are spoken of in order to realize the ultimate truth. Relying on speaking of it, one can realize the ultimate truth, if one knows that conditioned phenomena arise, then relying on it, one can know impermanence, which has the same (similar) meaning, if one knows impermanence, then relying on it, one can know the actions of wanting to abandon samsara and wanting to attain nirvana, if one knows these, then relying on it, one can realize the holy Dharma, the ultimate truth. In terms of having to determine this meaning: the benefits of realizing no-self-nature, the faults of not realizing it, how the noble ones observe the order, and its knowable.
