A Record of the Sixty Stanzas on Reasoning, as Spoken by the Lord, Recorded by Gyaltsap Dharma Rinchen. A Record of the Sixty Stanzas on Reasoning, as Spoken by the Lord, Recorded by Gyaltsap Dharma Rinchen. A Record of the Sixty Stanzas on Reasoning, as Spoken by the Lord, Recorded by Gyaltsap Dharma Rinchen, is complete. Homage to the noble and venerable ones! The Sixty Stanzas on Reasoning are in three parts: the preliminary homage for composing the treatise; the actual subject matter, the commitment to compose; and the dedication of the merit of the composition to enlightenment. The first part is the four lines beginning with "By whom." The protector Nagarjuna is the subject. Here, there is a reason for making praise and prostration to the teacher at the beginning of composing the treatise: the Thubpa Buddha, the Bhagavan, independently taught dependent arising, which abandons inherent arising and ceasing, and for that reason, he is praised. The Buddha Bhagavan is the subject. There is a reason for saying Thubwang: because dependent arising abandons inherent arising and ceasing, and the way in which cause and effect are mutually dependent, he independently taught the way of abandoning. Furthermore, in the subject and the previous negation: dependent arising abandons inherent arising and ceasing because he independently taught the way of dependent arising; dependent arising abandons inherent arising and ceasing because he independently taught the way of abandoning through the order of teaching dependent arising; and also because he independently taught the way of abandoning through the way of reasoning that will be explained below. The second part is divided into: brief explanation, detailed explanation, and summarizing the meaning. The first part has three points: showing freedom from extremes; showing that realizing this wisdom is the path to liberation from existence; and how the result is obtained by familiarizing oneself with it. The first part includes: by what is profound dependent arising realized; advising to listen to the profound; and showing the reasoning that prevents the extreme of existence. The first part is the four lines beginning with "Those who." Someone might say: just as an unborn child is not suitable as the meaning of the word for a born child, so too, inherent non-arising contradicts the meaning of the word for dependent arising. If a child who has not realized that very nature understands it as contradictory, then let it be contradictory! It does not harm us, for if it is considered by the mind that sees that very nature,

The samadhi of individuals such as Shariputra, concerning these dharmas, it is reasonable that your emptiness of inherent existence and dependent origination are not contradictory. Because you are not in the realm of children who do not realize this, and with non-grasping wisdom, you directly realize the emptiness of dependent origination. Therefore, without dwelling on any extreme of existence, non-existence, or between the two, you realize the emptiness of inherent existence of all things. Secondly, remember the reasoning of refuting nihilistic views that has already been explained, and encourage listening to the reasoning of refuting realistic views. First, briefly explain the two lines. Someone says: Dependent origination should not be empty of inherent existence, because it is hindered by direct perception, etc., and the hindrance of the sutras is that the three times of dependent origination are mentioned in the Dhammapada Sutra, as well as the individual and common characteristics of the aggregates, elements, and sense bases. In response to this, the Holy Nagarjuna, concerning the Dharma, there is a reason why the reasoning of refuting nihilistic views, which is the source of diminishing merits and all faults from the perspective of the Shravaka school, is not widely explained at this time, because the reasoning of refuting nihilistic views has already been widely explained in the Shravaka's Vinaya Pitaka, and because those Shravakas also refuted nihilistic views by relying on it, it is not explained here. Second, the two lines of reasoning, etc. With what kind of reasoning should the Shravaka school listen to the refutation of realistic views, because even though the reasoning of refuting realistic views is mentioned in their own Vinaya Pitaka, it is not explained continuously, for a long time, nor widely in one treatise, so the Shravaka schools are attached to realistic views. Third, the four lines of how, etc. Realists, concerning the Dharma, according to your view, why do you not think that all foolish children have already attained the Nirvana of the aggregates without subsequent acquisition, but think that it should be thought so? Because according to your view, children grasp things as real, just as it is established as the reality of things. Second, it shows that the view of grasping extremes does not liberate from existence, it shows that the realization of being free from extremes liberates, and it abandons disputes. First, the two lines of existence, etc., are in order of four. Things are real.
