It should be regarded as that which clarifies the truth but is obscured by ignorance. If all appearances and obscurations that appear clearly at all times and places are truly existent, then even if Brahma has some knowledge, it cannot be considered erroneous. If there is a clear manifestation of untruth, then even a hundred Indras cannot deny the ability of knowledge to reveal untruth. Therefore, the sensory consciousnesses that perceive blue, yellow, and other phenomena do not exceed the ability to reveal untruth. This is also made clear by the power of ignorance, but it is not true, because it has no connection with ignorance. The blue that is measured by the blue-grasping is not something that can be abandoned, but like seeing two moons that are harmful, it should be abandoned because it is deceptive. Therefore, one should abide in the fact that blue, yellow, and other things are not established as being uniquely true. The necessity of giving examples of illusions also lies in this. Otherwise, if it is certain that blue and the nature of blue are cognized simultaneously, just as they are not different entities but the same entity, it would also be said that blue and its mind are the same. The example of the two moons appearing in illusion, and the two sensory consciousnesses appearing in them not being different entities from each other, should be viewed in the same way. The meaning of the reasoning is: if blue is cognized, then the cognition of blue is cognized; if the cognition of blue is cognized, it does not mean that blue is cognized, because even if the cognition of blue cognizes blue, the self-awareness that cognizes it does not cognize blue. Therefore, if blue is cognized, it is the nature of cognizing blue, and similarly, it should be applied to the other side as well, because two different objects are easily established as different entities, and it should be known that these two objects are preventing other meanings. When some earlier people refuted Mind-Only, they could refute the external reality with the reasoning of six combined into one, but they could not merely refute the external, because if that were the case, even knowledge itself could be refuted because of the accumulation of contradictory dharmas that observe the parts of time. Saying these are completely different, because sensory consciousnesses universally manifest coarse objects with parts, while for the self-awareness that experiences knowledge, the appearance of duality disappears, so it is impossible for knowledge to appear as having parts. In dances and other things, many people watch together, the knowledge of the extent to which the eye consciousness of Deva-given cognizes

In India, since the object of Lha sbyin's eye consciousness is not constant, it is not absolute. Lha sbyin's blue cognition and the blue that is its object are both determined simultaneously, which does not hinder the blue and the consciousness that manifests blue from being determined simultaneously. Otherwise, in debate, the subject of the argument would not be commonly cognized. The minds of beings in the continuum and the mind of the Blessed One are also not uncertain, because they are determined simultaneously. However, the object of the mind in other continuums is not always certain. Mind and mental factors also do not lead to errors in generality, because the natures of the two objects are different. The grasping aspect of the Tathagata's mind does not apprehend all knowable objects, but there are others as well. Because the view of simultaneously apprehending two things, or that two apprehensions are the same thing, has not been accepted, there is no possibility of being blamed for you. Proving generality is: different nature, etc., that is, different substances and different times will not be apprehended simultaneously; if the times are the same, they will not be determined simultaneously, because there is no connection between the two. The characteristics of object and subject are truly established, which has already negated the view of true appearance. For the view of false appearance, since there is no difference in the distance of the object, the knowledge of mere experience cannot show the difference from the object. The other contents are easy to understand, considering the appearing form as a prior and subsequent cause and effect relationship, and considering that the simultaneously appearing object does not interrupt, therefore it is considered to be determined simultaneously. However, it is unreasonable in every way to argue that cause and effect and the same basis are the same. If blue and so on are not other substances than the root consciousness that cognizes them, how can the object condition be established? If it is said that this contradicts the scriptures that say that mind and mental factors are born from the four conditions, and many logical proofs, then, in general, the reason why the Mind-Only school admits the object condition of root consciousness is that it does not contradict the meaning of the previously mentioned scriptures, does not contradict worldly fame, and is also established by logical proofs.
