If it is said that it is because of the mind and the proximate cause and the non-proximate cause. The meaning established as a reason is the consciousness arising from the mind of another. Therefore, it is not said that the knowledge appearing there can realize the mind that initiates it. What is it then? The mind of the other person's motivation is the proximate cause of the knowledge appearing in the consciousness gathered by his own continuum, and it is also the dominant condition gathered by the continuum of the listener. Having established the connection in this way, it is merely imputed to the consciousness of the other person, but it is not entirely just that. The experience of the explainer of the appearance of consciousness is not experienced by the listener; what the listener experiences is not experienced by the other. Nevertheless, just as two people with cataracts cling to seeing two moons, they awaken in a place where habituation is deep, and they are similar in that they arise from the same cause of the other person's motivation, so they are imputed to the consciousness of the other person. When establishing the sign, only the knowledge appearing in the consciousness of body and speech is established, and the distinction made by the two persons is not established. This is
