Having explained the categories, one should take methods to dispel the categories that create obstacles. When countless appearances arise in visions, one should focus on the first appearance that arises, without letting the mind engage in anything else, but remaining in equanimity with it. Then, when that appearance vanishes, one should also remain in equanimity with what arises after that. If it vanishes again, then one should focus on the newly arisen appearance, and in this way, as long as the appearance exists, one should continue as before. One should not fabricate any explanations regarding the posture and gaze of the body. It is crucial not to tighten the mind too much, but to relax the body and mind completely, while maintaining the correct posture and gaze of the body, and not losing the mindfulness of non-distraction. When the body is weak, one should perform various beneficial exercises at noon and when the stomach is empty from not eating. Furthermore, diseases such as cold and heat may also arise, and for such cases, one should seek medical treatment. Third, relying on the nature of the mind, to meditate on samadhi, in the heart of one's own blue deity, visualize the guru, who is of the nature of Akshobhya, also blue. In his heart, on a moon seat, is a blue Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum). On the ground directly in front of the tip of the nose, there is a blue bindu. All of these, the way they reside, their ornaments, hand gestures, and so on, are as before. In place of the deity at the eyebrow center, on top of the moon seat, visualize a blue vajra with nine points. It is clear and transparent, appearing but without inherent existence. The Hūṃ (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Chinese literal meaning: Hum) in the guru's heart, the bindu on the ground, and the vajra, these three, focus on them as before and remain in equanimity. Any activity, such as standing up, walking, speaking, etc., should be done slowly with skillful means, and it is extremely important not to be separated from the mindfulness of non-distraction. When sleeping, place your attention on the guru's heart and sleep without distraction. When this scope of visualization is over, one can use jewels, lotuses, swords, and wheels to replace the vajra in front as objects of focus, as before. For example, perform the five visualizations relying on the hand gestures of the five families. For example, if a stable state of calm abiding has not yet been achieved, then focus sequentially on the hand gestures of the five mothers, the hand gestures of the four gatekeepers, and the thirty-two hand gestures of the destroyers.

One should meditate by making that the object of focus. During those times, if dullness is heavy, also meditate on the lama on the crown of the head. Also, the implements and bindus in front should be visualized more clearly than before, and meditate as before. If the awareness is too clear and the winds fill the space, causing the fontanelle to swell, and numbness and headache occur, then tie the head with a belt. Cover the top of the head with a large precious container, such as a thimble. Visualize the fontanelle being cut off by a golden vajra cross. Stretch both legs out, and also stretch the hands out along the legs. Visualize a white "A" (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Sanskrit Romanization: a, Literal Chinese meaning: No) on each of the two soles of the feet, and focus on that. If that doesn't help, then visualize on a vast golden ground, a white lotus with a thousand petals, and one's own mind becoming a blue "Hum" (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) syllable, emerging from the anus and slowly abiding. Then, visualize that such a "Hum" (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) syllable from one's own heart, gradually emerges from the anus and dissolves into the previous "Hum" (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Literal Chinese meaning: Hum) syllable. Do this until it helps. Or, visualize oneself as the yidam, stand up, make vajra fists with the hands, cross them at the heart, and strike the buttocks with both heels together, while holding the breath and jumping. If someone cannot do that, then cover the head with the hands, and gently and consciously strike the ground with the heels of the feet together or separately. Furthermore, if illness occurs, one should know what kind of Mahadeva dharma is needed according to the situation. Second, recognizing experiences and phenomena: Shaking of the body, and any experience of happiness that arises dependent on the body, are bodily experiences. Uttering Sanskrit sounds from the mouth, and involuntarily reciting verses, etc., are verbal experiences. The arising in the mind of the three samadhis of bliss, clarity, and non-conceptuality, no matter how good they are, should be recognized as experiences until higher seeing arises. The signs of the earth wind, water wind, fire wind, wind of wind, and space wind being controlled are that the body becomes heavy, cold, warm, light, and the body disappears, and the experience becomes empty. In vision, one will see smoke, fireflies, mirages, iron hooks, bindus, clear sky, rainbows, sun and moon, stars, and the earth turning into gold, etc.
