Instructions on the View of Equality of Samsara and Nirvana. Instructions on the View of Equality of Samsara and Nirvana. Instructions on the View of Equality of Samsara and Nirvana reside. Namo Guru Arya Manjushriye. (Tibetan: ན་མོ་གུ་རུ་ཨཱརྱ་མཉྫུ་ཤྲི་ཡེ།, Sanskrit Devanagari: नमो गुरु आर्य मंजुश्रीये, Sanskrit Romanization: namo guru ārya mañjuśrīye, Literal Chinese meaning: Homage to Guru, Holy Manjushri). Relying on various interdependent origination, to show the reality as it is, take refuge, accumulate merit, purify obscurations, meditate on the arising and ceasing of interdependent origination. The nature of body, speech, and mind, the profound instructions I, the fortunate practitioner of enlightenment, all phenomena of appearance and emptiness, samsara and nirvana, interdependent origination has no inherent existence. Abide equally in samadhi. The aggregates of body, speech, and mind, none are established as self, and there is no self other than that, one should know the meaning of this selflessness. The five aggregates and the twelve sources, the elements and what arises from them, virtue and non-virtue, all phenomena of appearance and emptiness, samsara and nirvana, interdependent origination has no inherent existence. Free from arising, ceasing, and abiding, beyond the expression of existence, non-existence, being, and non-being, this profound and peaceful freedom from elaboration and non-duality, whoever knows it will transcend suffering. The vajra words of the instructions on the view of equality of samsara and nirvana, may it be virtuous! Homage to the Lama and the venerable protector Manjushri. Here, to explain the instructions on the view of equality of samsara and nirvana, there are three aspects: preliminary, main practice, and subsequent recognition. That is, relying on various interdependent origination, to show the reality as it is. What is said is a summary of everything. Then, to explain in sequence, first, the preliminary practice is: take refuge, accumulate merit, purify obscurations. In order to let blessings enter, practice Guru Yoga; in order to accumulate merit, conduct the instructions of the Mandala; in order to purify obscurations, conduct the practice and recitation of the Hundred Syllable Mantra. Most of it can be understood elsewhere. Second, the main practice is divided into two

For the purpose of practice, there are two types of practice: the practice of the arising of dependent origination and the practice of the cessation of dependent origination. The first is the practice of the arising of dependent origination: Ignorance is the clinging to self, which arises dependent on the aggregation of the five skandhas, clinging to it as a person and sentient being. That is to say, being controlled by the clinging to self, one clings to what is without self as self, clings to what is impure as pure, and clings to what is not happiness as happiness. Dependent on the perversion of the four perversions, one thinks, "These are my relatives, friends, companions, and close relations, they have helped me and are on my side," and with attachment, one accumulates immeasurable karma. And one thinks, "These are my enemies, they are the harming, discordant side," and with hatred, one accumulates immeasurable karma. Similarly, for those who are considered to be one's own people and on one's own side, one desires that they have only happiness, fame, wealth, gain and respect, and perfection. But for those who are considered to be one's enemies and the discordant side, one fears that they will bring disgrace, bad reputation, poverty, short life, much illness, inauspiciousness, and all kinds of faults. Thus, being controlled by both attachment and hatred, quarrels, fights, greed, harmful thoughts, wrong views, killing, taking what is not given, sexual misconduct, idle talk, harsh words, divisive speech, and lies arise. Furthermore, jealousy, competition, contempt for the Dharma, arrogance, and afflictions arise like a river, accumulating immeasurable sins, ultimately leading to the experience of unbearable suffering in the endless cycle of the lower realms. The fundamental cause of the arising of these formations is clinging to self. Dependent on these formations, consciousness arises. Dependent on consciousness, name and form arise. Name has four aspects: feeling, perception, formation, and consciousness. Form is the congealed mixture of the parents' sperm and blood...
