If the past is established by the past and the future by the future, then it is not permissible to not have the present, because that is not allowed. Furthermore, if you want to avoid the faults mentioned above and think that the present and the future do not exist in the past, then how can they rely on the past? They will not rely on it. Second, if others who assert that the prior time is permanent think that these two times do not need to rely on the past, then without relying on the past, these two times cannot be established as existing. Because after sprouts and so on have obtained their own nature, what has not exceeded or not passed must be established as the present, so it is contradictory for the present not to rely on the past. Therefore, the future must also rely on the past indirectly, because the future is established by the future in the present. If these two times do not rely on the past, then they will also not rely on anything else. Because they do not rely on anything, they will be non-existent like a donkey's horn. Therefore, whether relying on the past or not, they cannot be established by their own nature, so the present and future times do not exist by their own nature. Second, similarly, if it is known that the past and future, whether relying on or not relying on the present, and the past and present, whether relying on or not relying on the future, are not established by their own nature, then the way of reasoning that previously refuted the past as existing by its own nature, whether relying on or not relying on it, can also be known by this method, refuting that the remaining time of the past, that is, the present and future, exist by their own nature, whether relying on or not relying on them. It should also be known that from "the past and the future, if they rely on the present" to "therefore the past and the future, time does not exist," and from "the past and the present occur, if they rely on the future" to "therefore the past and the present, time does not exist," should be quoted and transformed. Third, the order of examining the three times in this way includes the three of superior, inferior, and middling, and the three of virtuous, non-virtuous, and unspecified, the three of arising, abiding, and ceasing, the three of before, after, and middle, the three realms, the three of learner, non-learner, and neither, and the two included by one and so on.
