The various things that are accomplished by it, if they have the same essence and the cause and effect relationship is blocked, and they are established separately by their own characteristics, then dependence is not allowed, as Padmasambhava said. Therefore, some people think that using reverse reasoning as an attack, and some people think that the cause and effect relationship must have a sequence, and simultaneity is required for other things, this view is too extreme, and this is not the point of this reasoning. Regarding this, Lekden believes that if the established and the establisher that have already been established are put aside without refuting them, then everything will arise from everything, so it cannot be used as a reason, so the self-side view cannot be established. And for others who admit other-arising, there is no indication of any harm in terms of manifestation, etc., so it is impossible to refute the other side's view, just like Sakya Pandita's remarks, which are irrelevant. If refuted, then the meaning of refuting the reason is that some things arise from some things. And it is not allowed to use the meaning of no other-arising on the existence of other-arising, because it is to show that there is no other-arising in the ultimate truth. Therefore, he believes that the reason why some things arise from some things must show that there is something in things that is not just the exclusion of other-arising, because there are things that arise from self, both, or without cause. Therefore, the meaning of "not arising from others" is somewhat different from the above view that only excludes other-arising. The commentary explains that the two sentences "which things" are somewhat different from the above view. Regarding this, although the Svatantrika school cannot establish its own view, there is no fault, because it can use the previously mentioned reasoning to refute the other-arising admitted by the other party, so it is too much to refute. Regarding this, the reason determined by cause and effect can establish no other-arising, and even if refuted, there is no fault of contradicting the sect, because it is only excluding arising from others. In name, the Madhyamaka school that admits establishment by its own nature also admits other-arising in name, but the two teachers (referring to Nagarjuna and Aryadeva) do not admit other-arising even in name. In innate clinging, there is clinging to the self, etc., which is established by its own nature, but it is believed that there is no clinging in innate wisdom to the otherness of cause and effect established by its own nature, as it is said in the Entering the Middle Way: "Why do worldly people only plant seeds and say that they can give birth to this child?"

Therefore, if one realizes the thought, "I also planted the tree," then, there will be no other-born in the world. Thus it is said, this is the explanation of Buddhapālita in the Four Hundred Verses by Āryadeva. In the world, after putting impure semen into the womb, one says, "This child is born from me"; after planting the seed of a tree, one says, "This tree is planted by me." Children and trees, as well as seeds, do not inherently grasp as other. If it is not like this, then for other people or trees, one would also mistakenly think, "This is born from me, planted by me." Even if the seeds that are put in and planted are not children and trees, but because of the reason for doing so, one can say that a child is born and a tree is planted. For example, hands and eyes are not people, but when a hand hurts, one says, "I hurt," and when eyes see something, one says, "I see." In the world, there are no such terms between parents and children, so like the two situations mentioned earlier, it is in terms of the cause and effect relationship of the same lineage. Although the innate clinging of worldly people does not think there is other-birth, without other-birth, the determination of conventional terms cannot be established. To say that it arises from both, refers to what the Samkhya school believes, that the sprout arises from the seed as the cause, which is the self-nature birth of the seed, and from the land etc. as the condition, which is a birth with a different meaning from the seed. The naked ones believe that the pottery pot exists in the self-nature of the clay, from the perspective of the clay it is self-born, and from the perspective of the potter and the wheel etc. it is other-born. The sacrificers believe that the life of the previous life exists in the self-nature of life, from the perspective of life it is self-born, and from the perspective of parents and karma etc. it is considered other-born. These can all be refuted by the reason for refuting the arising of self and other mentioned earlier. To say that it arises from no cause, refers to one of the twenty-five principles separated from the Samkhya school, relying on a sage called "World Eye," who founded one hundred thousand views of the Samkhya school, and those who follow him. If it arises from no cause, then for the arising determined by place, time, and nature, because there is no cause, if it arises from one, it will arise from everything, and all creations will become meaningless. Bhavyakīrti divided the no-cause into two types, even if there is a cause, there will be no function of the cause.
