If one thinks, since the three aggregates that exist must be repeatedly contemplated in the mind, but here, even if they are not established as two, one clings to the existence of self-nature, how should this be understood? This is because, one understands the different meanings indicated by each real name as other meanings unrelated to the same meaning, and thinks that even if they are not established as two, they exist by self-nature. However, the sameness of self-nature and the difference of self-nature have been negated by valid cognition, so this doubt arises. The Nema-putrika school believes that the person is neither permanent nor impermanent, and this should also be understood by referring to the above. Second, here, "the goer Devadatta goes" is widely known in the world. To this, the speaker speaks words, and the actor does things. Just as the speaker speaks words, since he is a goer, the going that makes him a goer is the going itself, so there is no fault of saying so. If one asks this, then, the going that makes the goer manifest by the act of going, since it is the going that has become the goer, then it is not going, or it will not become going, or it is not going. Why? Because if the goer exists before the act of going, then the goer will walk on that path. Just as seeing Devadatta going to another village or city, because before the act of going, there is no goer who does not depend on it. If the act of establishing the goer as the goer is the action of the goer going, then the two need to have a sequential relationship, which lies in the fact that the act of going is established by its own self-nature, and not in the fact that it is so regarded in name. How to understand this? For example, just as saying "the sprout grows", if the sprout to be grown does not exist before growing, then growing is unreasonable; if it exists, then there is no need to grow again, just like this, the arising established by its own characteristics is refuted. Similarly, if Devadatta, who is to be established as the goer, does not exist before the act of going arises, then his going is unreasonable; if he exists, then he has already been established as the goer, so there is no need to go again. If even after being established as the goer, he must go, then the act of establishing him as the goer is not the action of making him go, so they must be established sequentially. The two teachers...

As previously stated, in the "Lamp of Wisdom," when it is mentioned, "If there is no goer at any time," it is explained that the goer obstructs the going, which is a repetition. However, this is because it obstructs the goer in the sense of the action of going, and not in the sense of the agent, so this is very different from the previous situation. If it is thought that the action of being a goer itself is not going, but that there is a second action other than that which goes, then the second action other than the action by which the goer manifests the action of going is not the action by which the goer makes it go. Because it is not reasonable for a single goer to have two actions of going. Regarding this, it is also explained that, as before, there is the fault of repetition, and that other actions are not obstructed, and that because it is admitted that there is only one action of going, there is the fault that the goer accomplishes the going because of possessing this. However, the first fault is the same as before and does not exist, and it points out the harm of the action extending to other meanings, and it throws out what the opponent does not want, that is, a goer will have two actions of going. Because this is merely throwing out, those faults do not exist. The previous views, both the upper and lower texts, do not admit that going is an action, but rather obstruct the task to be accomplished by the goer, which is also unreasonable. Because it is very clear that it is being examined whether the action imposed on the goer itself is going, and then obstructing it. The speaker speaks words, the cutter does the action of cutting trees, and so on, should also be refuted in that way. Secondly, the situation of becoming a goer and a non-goer has been said before, and becoming is and is not is dependent on certain parts, considering it to be a goer, and dependent on certain parts, considering it not to be a goer, which is the same meaning as the non-duality said before. Going here is going, that is, the thing to be gone. The three forms are in gone, not gone, and being gone, which are explained in the treatise of Buddhapālita. In this way, becoming a goer, that is, the thing to be gone, does not go on the three paths of gone, not gone, and being gone, and the other two situations also apply in the same way. The Clear Words (Prasannapadā) divides going into three situations: is, is not, and is and is not, and explains it there.
