The true limit of samsara is the emptiness of emptiness. There is not even the slightest difference between the two. Secondly, since samsara and nirvana are inherently indistinguishable, not only is it impermissible to speculate in advance about the future limit, but also to view the Tathagata as inherently existing in the nature of existence, non-existence, both, and neither after nirvana or death, is to enter into the extreme of clinging to nirvana. To view the world as inherently existing in the nature of having an end, and so on, including having an end, not having an end, both, and neither, is to enter into reliance on the future limit. In this regard, if one does not see the future birth of self and world, one thinks it has an end; if one sees birth, one thinks it has no end; if one sees some and does not see others, one thinks it is both; if one prevents both, then the speculation that it is neither will arise. To view the world as inherently existing in the nature of permanence, and so on, including the world as impermanent, both permanent and impermanent, and neither, is to enter into reliance on the past limit. In this regard, seeing birth and not seeing birth in the past time for self and world, and seeing a part and not seeing a part, and preventing both, will give rise to speculations of permanence and so on. If these views are reasonable if things are inherently established, but all things are empty of inherent existence, then to view having an end and not having an end, and both having an end and not having an end, and neither having an end nor not having an end, and what the body is, what life is, and the body is other, and life is other, and permanence and impermanence, and both permanence and impermanence, and neither, what is the meaning held by the view? There is no meaning. If one imputes an inherently established self-nature to things, and from this arises the view of separation and non-separation from it, the attachment that arises from this, know that this will block the path to the city of liberation and bind one to the suffering of samsara. Fourth, if you refute the inherent establishment of nirvana, then the teacher, in order for sentient beings to attain nirvana, to afflictions...

If it is said that teaching the Dharma that is in accordance with this as an antidote to practice would become meaningless, it would be so if there were some inherently established entities such as the Dharma to be taught, the listener, and the teacher. However, when the Buddha, the Bhagavan, passed into Nirvana, like the king of swans dwelling in the wind by flapping its wings in the sky, or the wind dwelling in the sky, all elaborations are completely pacified, and he dwells in a state that does not abide in the characteristic of peace, at that time, since all objects of grasping at characteristics are completely pacified and there is no object, if we consider it in that way, the Buddha has not taught any Dharma of defilement or purification to any god or human in any realm of gods or humans. 'Elaboration pacified' and 'peace' respectively refer to the fact that characteristics do not apply to Nirvana, and that words and mind that are inherently peaceful do not apply, or that afflictions and birth do not arise, or that afflictions and habitual tendencies are completely abandoned, or that the knowable and knowing are not objectified. As it is said in the Secret Sutra of the Tathagata: "Peaceful wisdom, on the night when the Tathagata attained the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment, and on the night when he will pass into complete Nirvana without taking anything, in between, the Tathagata did not even speak a single letter." It also says, "He will not speak." The Samadhiraja Sutra says: "Everything is without words, without letters, originally peaceful and without stain, whoever knows the Dharmas in this way, he is called a young Buddha." Thus it is said. If the Buddha has not taught the Dharma to anyone, how do these various scriptural terms appear? The statement that the teacher has taught us the Dharma arises from the individual thoughts of those who are to be tamed, who are bound by the sleep of ignorance and are dreaming. Thus, in the Ornament of Wisdom Light, it is said: "The Tathagata's stainless, virtuous Dharma is like an image. Here there is no suchness, nor is there a Tathagata. All the worlds only see the image." Thus it is said. Therefore, teaching the Dharma for the sake of Nirvana is a meaningless term in the face of those who realize the truth.
