It is like me. Later, remembering the faintness is like remembering the experienced state. Merely remembering the experienced state, although the previous possessor of the state has not experienced himself, remembering it is like remembering that the previously entered poison has not been experienced, just by the power of remembering the faintness. This seems to be a remarkable reasoning for the arising of memory without self-awareness, made by the king of the wise. It seems that those who explain the "Entering the Bodhisattva's Way of Life" have not explained it as it is. In general, it can be inferred that the memory of the later consciousness is unreasonable. Because the previous consciousness has not experienced itself. To the "because" of this, the answer of non-pervasion has been given. Therefore, the view that the refutation of self-awareness in conventional terms is not the view of the great Bodhisattva, he said. To establish self-awareness and refute other views: By accomplishing quiescence and practicing insight, etc., one can see the minds of others, etc. Therefore, one's own mind, which is very close, appears in one's own object, just as seeing a distant needle can see a nearby mountain. If someone says this, then just as applying the substance of accomplished eye medicine to the eyes, one can see treasures such as underground vases through the blessing of the eye medicine, but the eye medicine itself cannot be seen, this will harm the existence of self-awareness and cannot be a reason for establishing self-awareness. Second, refuting phenomena and illusions outside of consciousness, and that which cannot be said to be the same or different. First, if there is no self-awareness, because there is no memory, it will lead to no experience of states, and no seeing and hearing, etc. Then, how can one see with eye consciousness, hear with ear consciousness, and know with mind consciousness, etc.? These are not to be refuted in the conventional world. There is no need to refute these, because these alone do not cause suffering, and even arhats have these terms. It cannot be refuted, if refuted, it needs to be refuted with scripture and reason, if these are refuted, then scripture and reason will also be refuted in the same way. If it is stopped, there will be faults, because it will become a nihilist. Therefore, here, what should be eliminated is the thought of grasping the objects that cause suffering as real, because this is the root of samsara. If the root of samsara is not eliminated, samsara will not cease, and the grasping of forms, sounds, etc. as real

Because it is stated in the root verses that the Hearers and Solitary Realizers realize the selflessness of phenomena, it is clearly accepted. Kharagpa and others say that for the consciousness of power, mere appearance is not what is to be refuted, and for it, whether one grasps permanence or impermanence, existence or non-existence, etc., is what is to be refuted. This is actually the Chinese monk who returned again. The second view is that the Mind-Only school says that because external objects do not exist, the illusion arising from the mind, such as form, is not a different entity from the mind, and before, who saw what with what at that time? Because such a fault would occur, it cannot be considered that these two are not other entities. If form and so on are truly established, then they must be true as they appear, and if so, because they appear as external objects, they must be established as external objects. If they are external objects, how can they not be different entities from the mind? Therefore, they would become other entities. If they are not other entities, then they would become non-existent true things, because it has been admitted that all phenomena are false, so they are not other. Just like illusions, such as form that appears as reality, even if they are not truly established, but as objects of observation and targets of the mind, similarly, the six consciousnesses as observers are also not truly established. Before that, if there is no delusion, such a fault does not exist for us Madhyamikas, and it would be good if you Mind-Only followers also relied on this method. The fourth view is that if samsara and other false and imputed things are the basis or foundation of truly established things, because all delusions have a true basis. For example, mistaking a tree stump for a person is also because the tree stump is truly established. Similarly, if samsara does not rely on a true basis, but relies on something else, then it will become like space, without substance. This argument is the meaning stated in the Compendium of Trainings, not the meaning of other explanations. Samsara and other non-existent, i.e., false things, because they rely on the basis of delusion, i.e., true things, then how can they have the function of producing results such as bondage and liberation? They will not have it. Because the basis on which they rely, i.e., things, is not truly established. This argument is stated in the Compendium of Trainings. According to your Mind-Only view, the mind will become a single self-knowing and self-illuminating entity without the help of the duality of grasper and grasped, delusion, etc., because the object
