To establish the definitive and the conventional as such. In the reality of the ground, rely on the Dharma rather than the person. In the Dharma, there are two: the word and the meaning. In the meaning, there are two: the direct and the indirect. In the indirect meaning, rely on wisdom rather than consciousness, as it is said. In the Ornament of Wisdom Light Sutra, it is also said: "What is the indirect meaning? It is the ultimate truth." In the Teaching of Inexhaustible Intelligence, it is said: "The ultimate truth is taught as unborn, etc. The unborn, etc., are only the ultimate truth, and those who teach them are only to be taken as the indirect meaning." If it is said that the difference in what is to be negated, the unborn, etc., that are not combined at that time, are not taken literally, so they are not of indirect meaning. For example, the number of one hundred thousand is also a convention of the world, not the ultimate truth. Thus, if the birth, etc., of all phenomena are combined at one time, then they are also combined in meaning at other times, so those that are not explicitly stated are also taken literally. The second has two parts: how the venerable Nagarjuna explained the meaning of the sutras, and how those who followed him explained them. The first has two parts: explaining the meaning of dependent arising as the meaning of no self-nature, and praising it as the essence of the meaning of the scriptures. The first is: the sutras speak of both existence and non-existence of arising and ceasing, etc. Some sutras say that the unborn, etc., are of definitive meaning, and some say that they are of indirect meaning. Among these, if there is a rational obstacle to taking literally the explanation that there is no arising, etc., in the ultimate truth or in its own characteristics, then the nature and arising and ceasing, etc., that are established by their own characteristics are said to be pervasive discriminations. The other two are established by their own characteristics. At that time, what is negated, the self of the Dharma that is shown as selfless, is the nature that is falsely established in all phenomena as nature and difference, and is established by its own characteristics. And it is said to be a pervasive discrimination of the object and subject as different entities, and the nature that is separated from them is the ultimate reality. If such an explanation is also reasonable, then that obstacle is not present. This is because if there is a nature that is established in the ultimate truth or by its own characteristics, then the results, etc., are extremely contradictory to relying on causes and conditions. Therefore, the nature of relying on causes and conditions.

Because it is not established by its own nature. If it is not established by its own nature, then liberation and bondage, acceptance and rejection, cause and effect, etc., will not exist. If one says this, then it is holding the ultimate establishment of emptiness of own nature, which is established by own nature, as the ultimate harm. This explanation is that the venerable Nāgārjuna For the "Mother Sutra" and the scriptures that are in accordance with it, one should not turn to other meanings, but rather the reasoning that establishes the definitive meaning that is certain in that meaning. And for the sutras that show disagreement with those, showing the harm of reason to their literal meaning, he opened the tradition of the chariot. If one sees that it is not established by its own nature, then one will generate the view of defamation on all three natures. The "Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra" says this, not for everything that is seen, but for the disciples who do not possess supreme wisdom. Therefore, it is said in accordance with the thoughts of the disciples, not the intention of the Buddha. Because the disciples of supreme wisdom must establish cause and effect, and realize the emptiness of own nature, therefore for them, that itself becomes the method of preventing the view of defamation. Relative to such disciples, the "Mother Sutra" is the meaning that needs interpretation, and the "Saṃdhinirmocana Sūtra" is the definitive meaning. Just as the "Four Hundred Verses" says: For the disciples who are not suitable as vessels for teaching selflessness, teaching self and selflessness, the former is considered superior. In the "Root Wisdom" it also says: If all these are empty, then arising does not exist, destruction does not exist, you will therefore not have the four noble truths. And so on. If the nature of phenomena is empty of own nature, which exists by own nature, then arising and ceasing are impossible, and therefore all the establishments of samsara and nirvana Arguing that it is unreasonable, this is showing the reasoning of harm to the literal meaning of the "Mother Sutra" and so on. As an answer to that: If all these are not empty, then arising does not exist, destruction does not exist, you will therefore not have the four noble truths. And so on. Because for the emptiness that is not own nature, the dependent arising of arising and ceasing is impossible, therefore all establishments are unreasonable, and for the aspect of emptiness of own nature, all those are very reasonable, because own nature
