It is also necessary to accumulate a portion. Fourth, the virtuous and non-virtuous actions that are done will produce agreeable and disagreeable results. In particular, in the "Praise of the Excellent," it says, "The Brahmins say that virtue and vice, like giving and receiving, transfer. You say that what is done will not be wasted, and what is not done will not be encountered." Also, in the "Samadhiraja Sutra," it says, "Even if done, it will not be touched, and what is done by others will not be felt." Also, in the scriptures, it says, "Even after hundreds of kalpas, actions will not be wasted; when the conditions and time are met, they will become fruits for sentient beings." Thus it is said. The second part is divided into two points: mainly explaining the ten paths of action; and determining action and result. The first point: Having thus ascertained that the causes and effects of happiness and suffering are distinct, that actions increase greatly, that what is not done will not be encountered, and that what is done will not be wasted, what kind of certainty should one first generate regarding the nature of action and result, and then adopt or reject? In general, there are three definite entrances for engaging in virtuous and non-virtuous conduct. Although all the virtuous and non-virtuous actions of the three doors are not included in the ten paths of action, the general or rough aspects of virtue and non-virtue, and the basis of major faults, were summarized by the Bhagavan and taught as the ten black paths of action. If these are abandoned, it is also seen that the extremely important points are also included in these ten, and therefore the ten white paths of action were taught. As it says in the "Abhidharmakosha," "Having summarized the general aspects from these, for virtue and non-virtue, according to what is appropriate, the ten paths of action are taught." Also, as it says in the "Vinaya-vibhanga," "Guarding speech, restraining well with the mind, not doing non-virtuous deeds with the body, if these three paths of action are well cultivated, one will attain the path spoken of by the sages." Thus it is said. Therefore, in the "Dasabhumika Sutra," the meaning of praising the discipline of abandoning the ten non-virtuous actions is also stated in the "Entering the Middle Way," "For ordinary beings and shravakas, and those who are certain of their own enlightenment, and for bodhisattvas, the best certainty, and the cause of higher realms, there is nothing better than discipline." It is summarized thus. Thus, even though it is not necessary to repeatedly rely on the mind of discipline to guard each and every precept, it is very shameful to say, "I am a Mahayana practitioner."

In the Sutra of ིང་པོའི་, it is said: "These ten paths of virtue lead to Buddhahood. If someone does not protect even a single path of virtuous action throughout their life, yet says, 'I am a Mahayana practitioner, I seek the unsurpassed, perfect, and complete enlightenment,' that person is extremely hypocritical, a great liar, deceiving the world in front of all the Buddhas, the Bhagavat. They are a nihilist. They will die in ignorance and fall into evil destinies." Thus it is said. Falling into evil destinies should be understood as a synonym for all the names of bad migrations. The second part has three points: the result of black karma, the result of white karma, and the explanation of other classifications of karma. The first part has three points: the actual path of black karma, the difference between heavy and light, and the explanation of their results. The first point is: the basis of killing is other sentient beings. In terms of the three aspects of intention, perception is fourfold: the basis is like a sentient being, perceiving it as such; perceiving a non-sentient being as a sentient being; perceiving a non-sentient being as non-sentient; and perceiving a sentient being as non-sentient. The first and third perceptions are correct, while the second and fourth are incorrect. Regarding this, a specific intention, for example, intending to kill only Devadatta, but mistakenly killing a sacrificial offering when starting the action, there is no fundamental sin. For such a situation, an accurate perception is necessary. If, during the action, one intends to kill whatever appears, with a general intention involved, an accurate perception is not necessary. This method should be understood accordingly for the remaining nine. Affliction is any of the three poisons. Intention is the desire to kill. Action, whether done by oneself or caused by others, is the same. The nature of the action is any action done through weapons, poison, or mantras. The ultimate result is that due to that action, in that life or another life, they die before oneself. The basis of taking what is not given is any property possessed by others. In terms of the three aspects of intention, perception and affliction are as before. Intention is the desire to take away from others even if it is not given. In terms of action, the actor is the same as before, the nature of the ac
