And it should also be understood that, on different levels, there is no self-established selflessness of the individual, the true meaning of which is to be realized. At the same time, one must understand how all these attachments are established in a selfless manner. Third, divided into two parts: explaining the meaning of being like an illusion, and relying on what method can the state of appearing like an illusion be manifested. The first part is divided into two parts: the correct manifestation of appearing like an illusion, and the display of what appears to be like an illusion. The first part is: In the Samadhiraja Sutra, it says: "Like a mirage, a city of gandharvas, an illusion, and like a dream, contemplate the characteristics as empty of essence. Know all dharmas in the same way." And in the Mother Sutra, it is also said: "All dharmas from form to omniscience are said to be like illusions and dreams." The meaning of being like an illusion as stated above is twofold: one is to say that the ultimate truth is like an illusion, which, although merely existent, negates reality; the other is the appearance of emptiness simultaneously appearing, like an illusion. This refers to the latter. For this, because there is the meaning of appearing there and appearing like it, two emptinesses are needed. If, like a rabbit's horn and a barren woman's child, it is merely an appearance and completely non-existent, or although it appears, it does not have the meaning of appearing like it, so it does not appear as emptiness, then the meaning of an illusion-like appearance will not appear in the mind. Therefore, like the example of an illusion, the way to understand other dharmas is: for example, the illusion transformed by a magician, although originally empty of horses and cattle, the appearance of horses and cattle cannot be denied. Similarly, all dharmas such as individuals, in essence, from the beginning, are empty of self-nature established by their own nature on the object, but the appearance of being established there cannot be denied. Thus, what appears as gods and humans is the individual, and what appears as form and sound is the dharma. Therefore, although individuals and dharmas do not have self-nature established by their own characteristics, not even a particle, all actions and agents of dependent origination, such as those who accumulate karma and those who see and hear, are reasonable. Because all actions and agents are reasonable, it is not annihilationism, and dharmas are empty in this way from the beginning, so it is merely knowing emptiness.

It is not a fabricated emptiness, nor is it a partial emptiness that arises from thinking that all knowable things are like that. Meditating on it can become an antidote to all manifestations of clinging to reality. The profound meaning is not something that any mind cannot touch, but is determined by correct view, and can be touched by the meditation of meditating on the correct meaning, so it is not an emptiness that cannot be practiced on the path and has nothing to know or realize. So, does the fact that these appearances, such as images, are determined to be empty mean that they realize their lack of inherent existence? If so, then the direct perception of ordinary people realizes the lack of inherent existence, and they will become noble ones. If not, then how can these serve as examples of lack of inherent existence? In response to this, the Four Hundred says: "Whoever sees one thing, sees all things. The emptiness of one is the emptiness of all." This means that whoever realizes or understands the emptiness of one thing can also realize the emptiness of other things. However, knowing that the image of a face is empty of the face does not harm the object of clinging to reality that clings to the image as being established by its own nature, because it does not refute its object, and because the emptiness of the image being established by its own nature does not realize emptiness. Therefore, that mind does not realize the reality of the image. Through this, even if one knows that illusory horses and cattle are empty, and that the appearances of dreams are empty, one cannot obtain the Madhyamaka view of knowing like illusions and dreams. However, the reason why these are taken as examples is because it is easier to realize their lack of inherent existence than other phenomena such as form and sound. These are empty of inherent existence established by their own nature. If the object is truly established, then it cannot appear in the mind in a way that is different from its own state, so it is established by showing the contradiction between these two. First, these examples that are called false in the world must be made to realize their lack of inherent existence, and then one must generate the realization of the lack of inherent existence of other phenomena that are not called false in the world, and to these two
