In this way, one will attain complete liberation from the lower realms, and in all lifetimes will enjoy inexhaustible resources. So it is said. Fourth, summarizing these meanings: Having taken the bodhisattva vows, one should train by making the ways of learning the generosity of high grounds the object of aspiration; for the kinds of generosity spoken of before, one should learn by knowing the permissions and prohibitions of engaging in them from now on; especially, one should rely on the antidote to stinginess towards body, resources, and roots of virtue, and strive to increase the mind of giving, and cultivate joy in practicing in that way; one should generate sadness for not having trained the mind in that way. If one does so, as it is said in the Questions of Excellent Arm, in other lifetimes one will be able to perfect the perfection of generosity with little effort. If one abandons and leaves all of these, then even in this life one will be constantly stained by extremely heavy faults, and in other lifetimes, because one does not want to enter, it will be very difficult to enter the bodhisattva conduct. Furthermore, in the Compendium of Perfections it says: The root of such generosity is the mind of enlightenment; such generosity is wanting to give but not giving; among those in the world who have the mind of giving, the Victorious Ones say that it is supreme among giving. As it is said, remembering and meditating on the mind of enlightenment, which is the basis of conduct, and aspiring to enlightenment and making aspirations, is the root of all giving and the supreme of all giving, therefore one should strive for that. This is the essential point of the summary of the meaning of the Questions of Excellent Arm. Second, there are five points regarding the perfection of discipline: the nature of discipline, the means of engaging in its cultivation, the divisions of discipline, how to act when accomplishing them, and summarizing these meanings. The first is: The mind of renunciation that turns the mind away from the basis and root of harm to others is discipline. Therefore, the habituation of that mind becomes more and more complete, and it becomes the perfection of discipline. It is not that the perfection of discipline is accomplished by externally arranging to be separated from all harm to sentient beings, for if that were the case, then sentient beings would still be subject to harm and

Since there is no separation, the morality pāramitā of the past buddhas is not complete, and those sentient beings cannot be led to the side of being free from harm. Therefore, whether all sentient beings outside are free from harm or not is secondary, and the practice of morality is to cultivate the mind of abandoning harm to them on one's own continuum. As it is said in the Bodhisattvacaryāvatāra: "Wherever there are fish and so on, they are not allowed to be killed, and it is said that the perfection of morality is achieved by obtaining the mind of abandoning them." Thus. Although there are three types of morality, here, mainly from the perspective of the morality of vows, it is said to be the mind of abandonment. That is also from the perspective of motivation, it is the ten abandonments of abandoning the ten non-virtues. From the perspective of its own nature, it is the seven abandonments of abandoning the seven non-virtues, the seven abandonments of the nature of the actions of body and speech. As it is said in the commentary on the Bodhisattvacaryāvatāra: "Therefore, since it does not accept afflictions, and since evil does not arise, the fire of mental torment is extinguished and cooled, or since it is the cause of happiness, therefore it is what should be relied upon by the noble ones, so it is morality. That is also characterized by having seven abandonments. The three dharmas, namely non-attachment, non-hatred, and correct view, are what arise from all aspects. Therefore, from the perspective of morality that arises from all aspects, the ten paths of action are explained." Thus. Second, having generated the mind of enlightenment in this way, promising to learn the practice, that is promising to make all sentient beings possess the adornment of the morality of the complete Buddha, so it is necessary to accomplish its meaning. That also requires first generating the power of one's own morality being completely pure. If one's own morality is not pure or damaged, one will fall into the lower realms, let alone benefit others, even one's own benefit will not be accomplished. Therefore, by striving to benefit others, one must not relax in cherishing morality, and one must be very strict in guarding and protecting. As it is said in the Compendium of Perfections: "The complete Buddha is adorned with morality, whoever strives to accomplish the meaning of all beings, one's own morality
