The consciousness at the time of accumulating merit and immovable karma through karma is the causal time, and the consciousness that connects to the good destinies of the desire realm and the higher realms based on this is the resultant time. In name and form, name is feeling, perception, mental formation, and consciousness, which are the four formless aggregates. If form is born in the formless realm, then there is only the seed of form, but no form. In other cases, it should be combined with forms such as curd according to the situation. The six sense sources are: if born from the womb, then the four sense sources such as the eye are formed by the growth of the curd of semen and blood and the names in which consciousness first enters, and the sense sources of body and mind exist from the time of the curd. If born miraculously, then the faculties are accomplished all at once at the time of connection, so there is no such order. For egg-born and moisture-born beings, other than womb-born beings, the rest is the same as this, as explained in the substance of the earth. Thus, when name and form are accomplished, the nature of the body is obtained, and when the six sense sources are accomplished, the distinction of the body is accomplished, so it becomes an enjoyer. The five physical sense sources do not exist in the formless realm. Contact is: the aggregation of the three objects, senses, and consciousness completely determines whether the object is pleasing, unpleasing, or neutral, and because it is said "conditioned by the six sense sources," it also represents the object and consciousness. Feeling is: in accordance with the contact's determination of the three objects, the three feelings of pleasure, pain, and equanimity arise. Craving is: craving to not be separated from pleasant feelings and desiring to be separated from painful feelings. It is said that craving arises conditioned by feeling, which means that craving arises from the feeling that arises from ignorance and is conditioned by contact, but if there is no ignorance, then even if there is feeling, craving does not arise. Thus, contact is the enjoyment of the object, and feeling is the enjoyment of birth or maturation, so when the two are complete, enjoyment is complete. There are three cravings for the three realms. Grasping is: the four desires and attachments that arise towards the four types of objects, such as the desirable qualities of form, sound, etc., and all the wrong views except for the view of the perishable aggregate, and those related to wrong views.

Namely, bad precepts and asceticism, as well as the desire to seek and cling to the view of corrupt gatherings, taking the view as close, taking the precepts and asceticism as close, and taking the self-assertion as close. Existence means that the previous actions have instilled karmic habits on consciousness, which are nourished by attachment and acquisition, and thus have the power to lead to future rebirths. This is the name of the result falsely established on the cause. Birth means that the first consciousness connects to rebirth in the four birthplaces. Old age and death: old age means that the aggregates mature and change, and death means abandoning the same kind of aggregates. Secondly, the abbreviated branches: The Compendium says: "What are the abbreviated branches? They are the branches that can lead, the branches that are led, the branches that manifest and accomplish, and the branches that manifest and accomplish. What are the branches that can lead? They are ignorance, action, and consciousness. What are the branches that are led? They are name and form, the six sense sources, contact, and feeling. What are the branches that manifest and accomplish? They are love, acquisition, and existence. What are the branches that manifest and accomplish? They are birth, old age, and death." It is said like this. If so, do the two groups of cause and effect that can lead and accomplish show one cause and effect of a sentient being taking birth once, or do they show it twice? If it is said as the first, then it is unreasonable to say that love, etc. are born after the consciousness of the fruit position and even feeling have been accomplished. If it is said as the second, then the latter wheel of cause and effect will be without ignorance, action, and the consciousness of the cause position, and the former wheel of cause and effect will be without love, acquisition, and love. Answer: There is no fault. It means that the cause that can lead accomplishes what is led, and the cause that can accomplish accomplishes it, and when what is led is accomplished, birth, old age, and death are established on it. If so, what is the use of saying that the wheel of cause and effect is twice? It is to show that the nature of the suffering truth of the fruit that can lead and the suffering truth of the fruit that can accomplish are different. It means that the former abides as a seed at the time of being led, but its own nature has not been accomplished, and it will become suffering in the future, and the latter is the time when that suffering has been accomplished.
