From "Guru Yoga" onwards, to "Listening to the practice of benefiting others" ends. The third is, from "Whoever has no clairvoyance" onwards, to "This is what is shown everywhere" ends. The fourth is, from "Whatever aggregates etc." onwards, to "It arises from the grace of the noble guru" ends. The fifth is, from "Good path" onwards, to "Should be well concealed" ends. The sixth is, from "The hero's sequence, I bless myself" onwards, to "Method and wisdom, the nature of yoga" ends. The seventh is, from "Compassion and the body of emptiness" onwards, to "All darkness will be destroyed" ends. The eighth is, the remaining words. Among these, at the time of the previous vow to compose, it is said that the composition was made because of such an encourager, and the meaning of the words of the Kalachakra to be composed in the commentary is not explained, but the latter vow has these, so there is no fault of repetition in these two vows. Among these, for the time being, let us explain the praise of offering to the supreme desired deity, that is, prostration through emptiness, inseparable compassion, and not abiding in samsara and nirvana, which is "prostration." To whom? To the Kalachakra, which possesses the glory of non-duality wisdom as its own nature, and which generates all the wheels of aggregates etc. with immutable bliss and without obscuration. By whom? By the commentators and followers. For what purpose is prostration performed? For the decline of demons and obstacles, and for the certainty of the holy path. Among these, the way to determine the path is to mainly know the dharmas of the path that correspond to the fruit by extensively stating the qualities of the fruit. Then, what qualities or characteristics are seen that one prostrates to? Each of the first three lines shows one characteristic, and the first characteristic is: connecting emptiness and great compassion, the glory of the nature of inseparable bliss, with the Kalachakra and prostrating. Among these, emptiness has the form of the object of emptiness, and its nature, that is, the truly established severance, only that emptiness, and the establishment of these is.

Where is it explained? Compassion is divided into two types of explanations: the common compassion of all Mahayana practitioners and the uncommon explanation of the unsurpassed mantra. The first is: focusing on sentient beings who are suffering, wishing them to be free from suffering. The second is: the wisdom of great bliss is termed compassion. If we explain it etymologically from the Sanskrit word for compassion (Tibetan: ཀ་རུ་ཎ་, Sanskrit Devanagari: करुणा, Sanskrit Roman transliteration: karuṇā, literal Chinese meaning: compassion), giving a bindu to "ka", "kam" means bliss, and "ruṇa" means to obstruct, which becomes "obstructing bliss". If we explain it in terms of common compassion, when that compassion arises in someone's mindstream, because they cannot bear the suffering of sentient beings, it causes their own mindstream to have a state of obstructing bliss. If we explain it in terms of uncommon compassion, obstructing changing bliss is unchanging bliss. Alternatively, Guru Rinpoche has explained the meaning of "ruṇa" in a summarized way, and its meaning is the bliss of coemergent joy, which is the gradual absorption of the bliss of the previous three joys, and the meaning is the same. Here, it is necessary to explain uncommon compassion, and it is not appropriate to explain common compassion. The second characteristic is: it is not to combine the three realms as the basis and the unborn and undying as the characteristic, but to connect the birth that connects the three realms of existence, which is the limit of samsara, with the pacification of the karma and afflictions of the three realms, or Just the exhaustion of peace, which is the limit of nirvana, the glorious Kalachakra, who is inseparable from these two, I prostrate to you. It should be connected in this way, and the commentary also explains it in this way. The so-called three realms generally refer to the three realms, and sometimes they refer to the body, speech, and mind of the practitioner, and many different situations arise. But here it does not only refer to the body, speech, and mind, but to the three realms, because this is to show that one does not fall into the extremes of existence and peace. Some people use the example of not abiding in fire and wood, rubbing cushions, etc., from the fifth chapter of the "Abridged Explanation", saying that one does not abide in the desire realm, the form realm, and the formless realm, and that one does not abide in the nirvana of the desire realm, etc. It is unreasonable to explain those and this as the same meaning, because that is to prevent truly abiding in those.
