This is said with words indicating the name. Like this, it eliminates all demonic obstacles, and is the essence of the supreme desired deity and the certainty of the sacred path. If "supreme" is added, it is the supreme body, by means of which the difference of the desired mind. If "supreme" is added, it becomes the function of showing the difference of the desired deity, so here the latter is taken. Regarding the presence or absence of the word "and" with the deity, in the two translations, it is better to have no "and" word. It can eliminate all demonic obstacles, and the path that enables the excellent one to attain the supreme desired deity's rank, that is, to determine the Vajra Yoga, these two are the necessity of this essence. It should be understood in this way. Acaryagarbha also said, in the "Explanation of the Essence of Light," the elimination of demonic obstacles, and from the secret also the determination of the extremely secret Vajra Yoga, these two are said to be the necessity of this essence, which is very good. Second, the general meaning is, according to the "Explanation of the Tantra," this essence is explained by seven certainties, like this, the certainty of prostrating to the Vajra, the certainty of prostrating to the Vajradhara, the certainty of praising the qualities of the Bodhisattva's commentary, the certainty of preventing the obstacles of the path, the certainty of explaining the reasons for taking the path, the certainty of the method of pacifying the sixteen fears of harm, and the certainty of the wheel of the later time. The first of these is from "emptiness" to "prostration to the Bodhicitta." The second is from "the body, speech, and mind of the emanation" to "should ask the essence of the tantra." The third is from "the supreme empowerment spoken by the Buddhas" to "giving the lord of the three realms, this can universally show." The fourth is from "whatever aggregates, etc." to "arises from the kindness of the holy guru." The fifth is from "this excellent precious path" to "the yoga of the nature of skillful means and wisdom." The sixth is from "compassion and the body of emptiness" to "I wrote the explanation." The seventh is, "the rest of those," thus explaining, prostration to the Vajra.

The meaning of "ground" is also to contemplate the five wisdoms or five emptinesses symbolized by the five-pointed vajra of the sign, the first verse transforms the aggregate of consciousness into being without obscurations, the second verse transforms the aggregate of formation into being without obscurations, the third verse transforms the aggregate of feeling, the fourth verse transforms the aggregate of perception, and the fifth verse and so on, the four verses transform the aggregate of form into the emptiness of mirror-like wisdom without obscurations, and pay homage to it. Thus it is said, and pay homage to the Vajra Holder. And, homage to the letters E-Vam. Thus, since the two letters E-Vam are actually mentioned, the sixth is to hold the co-emergent wisdom of bliss and emptiness itself, because it is the holder or basis of the five wisdoms mentioned above, therefore paying homage to it is to think of paying homage to the Vajra Holder. This explanation is also not considered reasonable, because all of the five homages mentioned above, and the homage to the letters E-Vam below, etc., all of these, the wisdom itself of non-duality of bliss and emptiness and non-duality of means and wisdom is the main object of homage, and there is no difference. Moreover, for the first five homages, there is no reason to determine that the object of the first homage is mainly the wisdom of the Dharmadhatu, and the object of the second homage is mainly the wisdom of action, etc. The two vows to compose the treatise, one above and one below, are also unreasonable to summarize the meaning in succession with homage and with the name of pacifying calamities, because offering praise, pacifying calamities, and vows are all separate meanings. Having thus refuted the unreasonable aspects, now I will state my own system, thus offering praise to the supreme desired deity, vowing to compose a treatise and urging to listen to the composed treatise, and explaining the distinction between the reversed and correct treatise, and explaining the method of not deviating from the correct path, and abandoning the cause of stealing the good path, thereby proclaiming the concealment of the correct path, and explaining the definite number of the two stages of heroes, and explaining the method of pacifying the sixteen calamities of fear, and explaining other ways of vowing to compose a treatise, these eight are what must be determined. The first is from the beginning of emptiness to the lord worshiped by the gods, paying homage with the crown of the head. The second is, thus Vajra.
