中间七十二，下等三十六之间，如果能够将气息摄入体内，据说也能赎回死亡。此外，先行天瑜伽，将心稳定在位于心间莲花中央月轮上的白色吽字（藏文：ཧཱུཾ།，梵文天城体：हुं，梵文罗马拟音：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：吽），观修上下气息相合的心间宝瓶，据说也能赎回死亡。赎死口诀中说：努力赎回死主，依靠信心才能做到，因此要坚定信心，否则努力也是徒劳。经中说，对三宝和上师生起坚定的信心，是赎死最重要的。 鸟和鱼以及野兽蛇，杀害盗贼的同伙们，立即救护他们的生命，短命者也能变得长寿。 并且，舍弃十不善业，同样皈依三宝，守护五戒和八戒，就能延长死主的绳索。 被关在监狱和遭受大病折磨，同样被恐惧威胁的人们，如果加以救护，必定能长寿，成为赎死者。 对卑微者和无依无靠者以及奇特者，以及对具有戒律者也恭敬，因为能极大地给予所 желаемого, 寿命必定会增长。 对父母和上师老人，以及对知识渊博的老人等恭敬，并且给予供养和尊敬，也不会接近死主。 恭敬自己的本尊，也恭敬苦行者，经常在夜晚向神灵顶礼，这样做寿命就会增长。 修补破裂和倒塌的佛塔，用砖等修补，短命者也能变得长寿。 与托钵的比丘相同，建造寺庙、佛像、佛塔等，以及建立僧院，供奉八大佛塔等，寿命就会经常增长。 通过愿望乞讨而获得的物品，用这些财物供养僧众，举办宴请，七天之内短命者也能变得长寿，如同法王无忧王一样。 建造沙塔，同样建造擦擦，以及对佛塔等顶礼，寿命必定会增长。 《大集经》和《阿τανατι卡》经，以及附带的《微细经》和《大云经》，以及非常吉祥的偈颂等。

Even if one can hold the breath within the body for seventy-two intermediate or thirty-six lower durations, it is said that one can redeem death. Furthermore, by preceding with the yoga of the deity, fixing the mind on the white Hūṃ syllable (藏文：ཧཱུཾ།，梵文天城体：हुं，梵文罗马拟音：hūṃ，汉语字面意思：吽) situated on the moon disc at the center of the lotus in the heart, and meditating on the vase-like state of the heart where the upper and lower breaths are joined, it is said that one can also redeem death. In the instructions for redeeming death, it says: 'To strive to redeem the Lord of Death, one can do so through faith. Therefore, one should strengthen faith, otherwise the effort will be in vain.' It is said that generating firm faith in the Three Jewels and the lama is the most important aspect of redeeming death. Birds, fish, wild animals, and snakes, as well as those who are accomplices in killing thieves, by saving their lives immediately, even those with short lives will become long-lived. Furthermore, by abandoning the ten non-virtuous actions, likewise taking refuge in the Three Jewels, and keeping the five and eight precepts, one will lengthen the rope of the Lord of Death. Those who are imprisoned, afflicted by great illnesses, and likewise threatened by fears, if they are protected, surely their lives will be long, and they will become redeemers of death. Respect for the lowly, the helpless, and the extraordinary, as well as for those who possess discipline, because it greatly bestows the desired object, life will certainly increase. Respect for one's father, mother, elderly lamas, and those who are old in knowledge, and also by giving offerings and honor, one will not become close to the Lord of Death. Respect for one's own chosen deity, and also respect for those who practice austerities, always prostrating to the deities in the evening, by doing so, life will increase. If one repairs cracked and collapsed stupas with bricks and the like, short lives will become long. Similar to a mendicant monk, building temples, statues, stupas, etc., and establishing monasteries, and offering to the eight great stupas, life will always increase. By means of what is obtained from begging with aspiration, offering feasts to the sangha with these materials, short lives will become long within seven days, like King Ashoka. Building sand stupas, likewise making tsatsas, and prostrating to stupas and the like, life will certainly increase. The Great Assembly Sutra and the Aṭānāṭika Sutra, as well as the accompanying Subtle Sutra and the Great Cloud Sutra, and the verses of great auspiciousness, etc.

With respectful mind, inviting a monk to ordain, or ordaining oneself, in this way, one will obtain longevity, and will be able to redeem the Lord of Death. The Mahayana sutras, such as the "Mahayana Sutra" and the "Garland of Jewels Sutra," if one constantly recites them with one-pointedness, one will be able to redeem the Lord of Death. Reciting all the yoga tantras spoken by the Tathagata, or performing the ritual of the five protections, will also redeem the Lord of Death. Building stupas with relics enshrined, circumambulating them, and reciting dharanis, will also destroy the efforts of the Lord of Death. Reciting the "Lamp Dharani of the Three Jewels," and diligently reciting the dharani mantras spoken in the collection of dharanis, the wise ones, even when close to death, will prolong their lives. Drawing mandalas, performing fire pujas, making hand gestures, and offering tormas and tsog chakras, will redeem the Lord of Death. To the noble sangha of the four directions, offering praise, giving beds and other necessities, and even just offering a Dharma robe, will become an act of redeeming the Lord of Death. Like the radiance of the autumn moon, with the moon as a backdrop, all ornaments are perfectly complete, possessing a body like a sixteen-year-old maiden. All the perfect Buddhas are her sons, she is the embodiment of holding the supreme giving.
